cg_8
We didn't have the athletic ability at the LB position nor the Safety position to keep up with the athletic ability of Wisconsin's RB's. Rewatch some of the TD's. It's painful, believe me, but there were guys in position to make plays. Some of them could have easily been negative plays, but they just didn't have the speed or took terrible angles. Stafford looks like he took terrible angles on some plays, but he was almost consistently in position to make a play. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
....yes, and both the DC and the coach were let go. Not right away, but not too many years after. Not just for that debacle, but a number of further ensuing ones. Quote Link to comment

kchusker_chris
Read this in an article about Spurrier when discussing Florida. I am guessing Bo feels this way sometimes. It's like a disgrace when we lose and a relief when we win." Quote Link to comment

Linebacker play is going to be a pretty big factor to how good this defense can be. There's talent there, no question, but it's talent that needs to take it to the next level. Lavonte David is a really good example of what a good athlete can do for you - countless times, Pelini remarked David was playing out of position or not within the defense. Yet, he led the team in tackles, broke a tackling record and is now doing well in the NFL. Where in the past, we had guys that "knew" the defense, we need guys that know the defense and can make athletic plays to go along with it. We have guys there that can do this but, again, they need take that game to the next level. Quote Link to comment
Guy Chamberlin
After the Wyoming game opened the 2013 season, I started wanting the players who DIDN'T know our defensive system. Quote Link to comment
