zoogs
Can the Patriots get to .500 this year? Heck, they could make the playoffs. But there's a lot of changing that has to happen between now and, well, next week. Yikes, man, we are bad. Quote Link to comment

Omaha-Husker
I can only hope the Chiefs play that well against Seattle in a few weeks. I have tickets for that one, that game might very well be the end of me. Quote Link to comment
walksalone
and... oakland needs a new coach. again. Considering he was set up to fail, this isn't a surprise... When you need O line help, you don't blow your 1st round pick on a LB who probably won't be in the league in 3 years... Quote Link to comment

StPaulHusker
NE is doing exactly what every team is going to start doing because of the rookie salary cap. Have a bad team for a year or 2. Get elite players high in the draft to complement the good veterans, don't hamstring the franchise with excessive pay to unproven rookies, and then get back on track. In NE's case, if they are bad enough to draft on the top 10, they will trade down and get even more picks. It's a no brainer Quote Link to comment
zoogs
I don't believe tanking or losing is in any way acceptable to them. This is just a disaster so far. But, you never know. They could still be hoisting the AFC championship trophy at year's end -- there's so much that changes week to week. Right now though, it's ugly. That has to be the first time Brady was ever benched during a game where New England wasn't winning big. Quote Link to comment

It's a no brainer Yeah, Belichick is the master at finding value for little $$. He brings in guys who've been cut, makes stars out of them, then either trades them away a few years later or let's their contract lapse if can't negotiate a cheap extension contract. Case in point, Danny Woodhead. Quote Link to comment
