Husker fans booing

Well, we know it doesn't happen often but we let loose on Miami last night. It happened before and after the game.

 

DO you think it's okay that this happened because it' Miami and there was just so much pent up frustration and so many years of having to go down to Miami to play?

I feel it is not only OK but expected. When you intentionally pick our best players out and lay on them and play dirty against them all night and then proceed to start scuffles and mini-fights during the game, you shouldn't get clapped off the field.

I don't think it had anything to do pent up frustration or the fact it was Miami. I think it had everything to do with how Miami played last night. They lived up to their Thug U moniker. I have no issues with the fans booing Miami.

Most of me thinks it is ok. Hey miami. Congratulations. Youre the first team in 50 years to get booed and no applause leavin the field. Look in the mirror a$$hole$. We treated COLORADO better.

 

On the other hand it somewhat disappointed me. Just that old "stoop to their level

" type of deal.

I have no issues with it, Miami ran their mouths all week and played dirty last night. They don't deserve to share the field with the Huskers because they have ZERO idea what class really is!

All I know is that the student section had a "f#*k Miami" chant going strong, and honestly I dont care, and loved it. If that game was an SEC game they would have needed a canopy over their bench for all the stuff that would have been thrown on the field.

 

Last night was one of maybe 3 games out of the 50+ I've been too where I actually thought to myself, "this is a hostile environment".

I felt it was the crowd's way of defending our players from all the crap going on. Not a fan in general but no issue last night.

Whatever the crowd did last night they need to repeat it. THAT is home field advantage and that is exactly What Memorial needs to be. Hopefully it lights a season long fire

I believe that was planned. The refs were talking to both coaches at the end. On TV you could see Bo giving the ref directions. Nobody wanted a brawl at the end. I was even wondering if Gregory should have been taken to the locker room early.

 

I had no problem with the booing in this case.

I'm thinking and coming up empty on scenarios where you're expected to applaud someone giving you the finger.

I did not mind the booing. It was warranted. It's not Husker though. The atmosphere at this game was definitely like no other game in several years. The energy was high at the beginning of the game. As the game went on that energy grew. As it grew the players fed off of it resulting in what I think was some of the most physical play by both our defense and offense in resent years. If they can keep that up the Huskers could win any game. To do that the fans need to keep the atmosphere and energy like they had for this game. We still need to stay classy.
