Hingle McCringleberry
Their players were flipping our fans off, so yeah, they got booed. No big deal. Was that happening during warm ups? Miami got boo'd when they took the field after the tunnel walk. Quote Link to comment
Dr. Mantis Toboggan
One of the things Bo fans love about him is the fire he brings on the sidelines. Maybe the fans in memorial stadium needs to follow in the coach's footsteps. I for one loved the rowdiness. That energy last night fed into the players and they played football that I have not seen Nebraska play in a long time. Quite frankly, I could care less if people view us as classy or not, I just want a W and that's what we got last night. 2 Quote Link to comment

HotGrillonGrillAction
I think it would be fantastic if we could blend intimidation and class, which I think was exactly what happened last night. From the crowd, from the coach, from the team, et al. That was an incredible atmosphere. Quote Link to comment
BartonHusker
I like that we as a fan base stay classy but in a game like last night against a program like Miami, it is ok to show our displeasure. They are "Thug U" for a reason and how much grief our players this week and in the distant past have received from them warrants displeasure from our fan base. How often has Miami ever played Nebraska in Lincoln? We generally always get them in the Orange Bowl with their fan base riding our players. I agree the team fed off the energy last night. The physical nature of our offense/defense was very old school Husker football! Quote Link to comment

Miami got boo'd when they took the field after the tunnel walk. That's not all that uncommon. Texas got booed in 2010, as have Colorado, Iowa, Ohio St, and others. Most of it just the student section and doesn't usually mean much other than this our house and we are going to protect it. The same people who boo at the beginning of the game are (usually) clapping after. 1 Quote Link to comment
Minnesota_husker
Old wounds never heal... and when you see this Miami playing just like old Miami, it will open those old wounds right up. I dont mind the booing... Quote Link to comment
Blackshirt39
I loved it. Our fans had our team's back. That was typical, BS, no class football from Miami last night and the fans let them hear it. Al Golden should be ashamed of the team he fielded last night. Loved the fans singing them off the field like they used to do to everyone. Then I loved the refs trying to get Randy Gregory to leave the field early. NO! This is our field. they can leave early, and if the refs would have had a backbone and ejected the 4-5 players on their team, they wouldn't have to be worried about scuffles at the end of the game. Miami players need to be suspended for 2 games. Refs need to be suspended for 2 weeks without pay, possibly terminated if they have a history of this. Sports Illustrated was right 20 years ago, and Miami continues to prove it. Quote Link to comment
huskerenner
We won't get a warm welcome in Miami next year.Even if we hadn't booed. Quote Link to comment
Dagerow
f#*k them. They are thugs who intentionally tried to hurt our players. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirt39
We won't get a warm welcome in Miami next year.Even if we hadn't booed. Yeah I'm really scared of the 5,000 fans they'll have there. I expect there to be more red than orange. 3 Quote Link to comment

With just 5 or 6 more tarps, Miami's stadium might look almost full. Those things can be noisy when the wind picks up, though, so Bo better have the guys be ready for crowd noise. 1 Quote Link to comment
Savage Husker
Wasn't a fan of the booing, especially pregame, but I get it as they walked off the field, total classless. I sat above as they walk in/out...you can't call what Miami represented last night as "swag." It's total lack of respect for opponents, the game, fans, and themselves. I won't lump every player, but the vocal majority of that team is clueless to their actions. There's a reason those nitwits flipping off fans were getting booed at the end of the game, and a few of their other teammates met in the middle. I just wish we didn't open the game by booing them, that's all. Quote Link to comment
ZRod
You know that miami's players (save a select few) left the field without going to shake with the husker players right? I believe the fans were booing such a poor showing of sportsmanship. I believe that was planned. The refs were talking to both coaches at the end. On TV you could see Bo giving the ref directions. Nobody wanted a brawl at the end. I was even wondering if Gregory should have been taken to the locker room early. He left right away on a bee-line to the locker room with Kaz escorting him to the tunnel. Quote Link to comment
