Eric the Red
Saw Givens and Kondolo playing many reps in the second half. I know they replaced Sterup, but who was the starting right guard? What does our lineup look like for Rutgers? Same starters but Garrison will pull whomever much quicker. ? Quote Link to comment
The Dude
Lewis - Moudy - Reeves - Kondolo - Price Hopefully. Quote Link to comment

Chaddyboxer
Moudy also shifted over to left gaurd. Damon Benning talked about how it is hard to just up end a starter at any position...gotta be careful from a coaches perspective. It can really mess with a starters psyche. Much better performance by the 2nd stringers...the 1st team needs to start playing better on the line, plain and simple. Quote Link to comment

I'm more worried about the psyche of the guy who is playing better but not starting. 7 Quote Link to comment

I get this....BUT, if they are not getting the job done, they need to be replaced. IF, they are a true player, this will motivate them to get their job back. Film does not lie, and the last two games some of these guys had better start getting it figured out. These young guys behind them are ready for the challenge. 2 Quote Link to comment
huskered17
Tommie looks to be making better decisions, and maybe the backups had something to do with that. They did a good job giving him time to see the field. NW is a good coached team, but I will wait till the Wis game to get excited abut the B1G title game. Good road win, that I thought would be a nail biter. GBR!!! On D I thought K Williams had a very good game. Quote Link to comment

Thanks_Tom RR
I know they replaced Sterup, but who was the starting right guard?/quote] They flipped Moudy from right guard to left to take over for Cotton. Kondolo filled in for Moudy at right guard. Quote Link to comment
HUSKER FREAK
I think they should start the regular starters this game and do a true rotation. If they are struggling early pull them out and see what the others do, then you have your answer. I mean when the Oline got changed up you could see an immediate impact which I was shocked by. Another thing the coaches should have noticed sooner then they did. No I am not talking about Bo and Beck necessarily. But, At half time I looked at my wife and said I think Bo may have to replace some coaches. Kudos to them for making the change before it was to late. Quote Link to comment

Minnesota_husker
I think we were all begging for a change to be made... Just to see what they could do and I am a bit surprised at how well they did. Kondolo drew a penalty on one of his first plays out there.. the D-end is bending his head back and the dude was still blocking him no problem... They were not only running the ball at the right side, they were getting huge runs on the right side with wide open holes. My question is, how does this not get shown in practice? The Reeves/Price/Kondolo trifecta was dominating... How are they not starting sooner? Moudy looked better on the left side.. I was happy to see them replace London Bridge for a few plays. It has to be a mentality thing.. we need out o-line to be the angriest punch of guys on the field. Quote Link to comment
HUSKER FREAK
That was awesome, because he was hardly moving. And, a little later in the game the same thing happened to Price and it didn't get called. I believe it was a LB and was in the D back field I was laughing at the same thing he was stood straight up and his head bent back by the Lb's arm and he wasn't moving an inch lol. StPaulHusker
Considering that Pelini said the OL was going to be reviewed after the MSU loss, I was curious what was shown on film and during practices that made him think it was a good idea to put the same starters in for NW Quote Link to comment

I was going to argue with you about how fast you pull OL starters, but this was a long time coming and completely exposed and on display for everyone during the MSU game. Our starting OL needs a fire lit under them. If that means benching them after a bad series or starting some 2nd string guys instead, so be it. Quote Link to comment
