BIGREDIOWAN
Soon enough we'll know about what's going on with Bo, the board is being flooded with thread after thread of what may happen and there are almost no Iowa threads, minus one. So what do you think the keys to victory at Iowa are going to be? Do you know much about the Iowa team and what they're about? Let's move on to this game and worry about what's going to happen to Bo on Saturday. Quote Link to comment
Redux
Keys to victory: 1) Offensive Line must play like gods 2) Ameer should get as many carries as possible 3) Said carries should only be plays Offensive Line comprehends 4) Blitz. All. Day. 5) Blitz some more. 6) If we are going to give up a big play I'd prefer it be after knocking the crap outta the QB multiple times 7) Ball security, Time of posession, Field position and other stuff we suck at 8) Lock Tim Beck in a closet and run Ameer again 9) Bench Tommy after first interception to show he is replaceable 10) Play loose and try to win the damn thing 1 Quote Link to comment
Hedley Lamarr
This game will boil down to good ol fashion testicular fortitude Quote Link to comment
kchusker_chris
Skip half time. Stay on the field. Whatever goes on in that locker room is not good for this team. 2 Quote Link to comment
irafreak
This game will be a slugfest. Biggest key to victory...don't crumble under the pressure. Bo keep a cool head. Quiet confidence. Quote Link to comment
Street Novelist
I don't much about Iowa. I haven't seen any of their games. But if history is any indication, they will play us hard. Our offensive line must open holes for Ameer. Tommy must complete at least 50% of his passes. I would like to see more blitzing. And please, no more fumbles. Quote Link to comment

Yes and iowa has the pink visitors lockers. I'm worried our guys will start painting their nails or something. 2 Quote Link to comment

I haven't watched a lot of Iowa this year either. They have been very hit or miss running the ball this year. Quote Link to comment
lo country
Run a lot. 2 back sets Get the ball to the TE behind the LB's to slow them up. TA won't be able to get a 7 step drop. Not against their DL. Their DT's are solid. Our OL needs to play lights out. Roll TA out of the pocket. he won't have one any way. Hope that Beck has studied ways to get the D out of the box with no threat of a non-passing QB Blitz. Early and often. Scrap the 2 gap and let the DL pin their ears and go. Get pressure. Let the LB's flood the other gaps. We can't set the edge anyway so get into their OL quick. Rotate the DL. A lot If a DB doesn't set the edge and "picks" his own player pull em out.P Pressure, pressure, pressure.... Use TA in the running game. More designed runs to keep the D "honest". Use the PA TA starts to freak, let him sit a series and calm down. and throw Stanton to the wolves. Fyfe won't surpass TA.......Stanton next year might..... Have Beck, for once, call a game plan that compliments and supports the D. Long, grinding drives that were out their OL and give our D time to get coached up and rest Limit TO's and get some. I think the past 2 games we have had 8 TO's....... Quote Link to comment

kchusker_chris
I'm worried our guys will start painting their nails or something. Kenny ain't got time for that, getting the hair styled already takes most of halftime. Quote Link to comment
True2tRA
Same offensive game plan as last week on offense. Only this time, get Cethan Carter involved. Also throw some screen passes. We have got to get opposing linebackers and safeties to respect the short passing game. Been saying that for years now, so I hardly expect it to all of a sudden happen. Defense has to stop the run........ Okay, I can't type anymore between the laughter and disgust all at once. 1 Quote Link to comment

BIGREDIOWAN
Their QB is pretty much a statue, he had some decent runs against Wisconsin, but that was a surprise to even Iowa fans. The kids slooooow, but they have a good offensive line, decent defense, but are a very bi-polar team. I've watched a lot of their games this season and if we hit their QB often he'll crumble under the pressure. If they were smart they'd put their back-up in, CJ Bethard, but they won't cause Ferentz is a dumba$$. Bethard is a mobile QB and would run all over us........... Quote Link to comment
