Junior
Could?????, that is being optimistic,,,, A positive if it leads to Buffet buying out Pearlman and get a chancellor who will keep his bent out of shape nose (because of jealousy for former coach and AD) out of some areas. Yes, it is his University, so is the football program, but this entire thing is done out of spite !!!!!!! for TO…… I will 100% guarantee it. Now Pearlman can sleep at night thinking he is KING…… This whole thing is soooooo political, it stinks to high heaven. This is what Suh was referring too. A jealous, jerk of a Chancellor, who had an axe to grind. Speaking of axes to grind... You can guarantee it? So it's 100%, absolutely not that. At all. Thanks for clearing that up. Junior
Are these all official hires? Do we know that Banker will be DC? No, Bray was being tweeted by a few recruits. Banker and the rest tweeted by an SI writer, who also tweeted that "I never said Banker would be DC". Quote Link to comment
Hedley Lamarr
TO is the one who prevented Bo from being canned last year. Maybe he should keep his hands out of a department he is no longer part of 5 Quote Link to comment

Vizsla1
Buffet and Perlman share a love for atheism so don't look for any buyout- fun tidbit- Perlman (admin) told Coach Bo that he could not have his priest on the sideline while he wore his collar- Bo told admin- if he can't wear the collar, I won't wear the red. Hunter94
Can we get a sticky for this...so when a new guy is hired as an assistant we can refer to this instead of digging through pages of drivel? Mods can edit appropriately (if they want) when a hiring takes place... Head Coach: Mike Riley - Oregon State Offensive Co: Defensive Co: Mark Banker - Oregon State Defensive Line: Linebackers: Trent Bray - Oregon State Defensive Backs: Offensive Line: Mike Cavanaugh - Oregon State Running Backs: Wide Receivers: Tight Ends: Special Teams: Bruce Read - Oregon State damn, i was afraid of this........ HANC
I have always respected (and still do) your opinions Junior…… You are one of a handful that I do follow…..but with respect, I am pretty sure about the Pearlman vs football team aspect. Not, getting into "pissing match" about who and what you or I or anyone knows, but I am fairly close to the situation and feel extremely confident in my statements. I may not be right ( I am wrong more than anyone), but I strongly, believe this, and have some knowledge in this realm. Along with comments made by former players. Quote Link to comment

And, TO is completely hands-off with the University and has been, even last year…. wasn't even informed about Miles hiring. I, and anyone on board found out at the same time as TO, that I promise you…. so he isn't and hasn't had a say in a long time. I'm not trying to be a jerk here. I'm glad you respect my opinions.... But TO wasn't informed about the Tim Miles hiring???? TO did the Tim Miles hiring! 2 Quote Link to comment

A jealous, jerk of a Chancellor, who had an axe to grind. This might make sense if the majority of the fans and outside observers didn't full-heartedly agree with Pelini being fired. Many wanted him fired last year. Pelini was fired because he deserved it, regardless of whether or not Perlman and/or Eichorst also secretly didn't like Pelini. Quote Link to comment
ADS
Kaz, Warren and Brown are three that I hope get a chance to return. Agreed. I wonder who the WR coach will be? Brent Brennan Quote Link to comment
Danny Bateman
I'm with BlackDeuce. Gross name, BTW.Considering the amount of leaked misinformation during the coaching search, I am not going to believe a THING (especially based on a tweet) until it's made official. But good idea for a thread, PowerT. +1 man. Quote Link to comment
huskerfan92
http://www.prostarcoaching.net/mbanker.html I'm reading up on Banker, I don't understand all the negative feedback on him besides the Oregon St. fans wanted him gone. I'm pretty sure fans of every team want their coordinator gone, it's the same argument that the "backup Quarterback is always the best quarterback". Reading up on Banker he seems to have produced some pretty solid defenses which are usually in the top half of the Pac-12, and a lot of All-conference players. Quote Link to comment
