DomiNUs
What's the difference? The amount of time? There is no other difference in that statement that I can make out. Does this mean that MR gets seven years before we can recognize that the players aren't executing the scheme efficiently or effectively? Quote Link to comment

Pelini's D in 2008 didn't start playing good until the end of the season, and that defense was stocked with talent. Quote Link to comment

Kiyoat Husker
When I read the thread title my only question was: electrocution, lethal injection, or firing squad? Quote Link to comment
jsneb83
The difference between Riley and Bo? When Riley says they aren't executing, he says that's on the coaching staff for not teaching the players better. Quote Link to comment

Mike Harvat
I was actually encouraged by Riley's press conference yesterday. He's acknowledging that there's a tendency for mental meltdowns...I'd love to see those eliminated. Quote Link to comment

I felt the old coach blamed his players more than the coaches. Sometimes it is on the players, but after 7 years that gets old. Either way, he's gone. Can we stop the comparisons yet? Reading posts about Bo gets old. Wait until the entire season is over and we have a larger sample size and can at least see what changed throughout the season. Quote Link to comment

So, in your opinion, there's no difference between someone being a head coach at a university for 7 years and one being a head coach at a university for about 10 months? Do you also bake cookies and take them out of the oven after 1 minute, or do you wait and see what they become? We saw what one coach had become. We're still waiting to see what the other is capable of. 2 Quote Link to comment
