Scratchtown
Wisconsin / Nebraska Offense YPG - 80th (390) / 25th (474) Pass YPG - 70th (223) / 28th (281) ---- Stave Comp % 63 / Tommy Comp % 54 Rush YPG - 74th (167) / 42nd (193) Scoring - 79th (27) / 53rd (32) Defense YPG - 11th (278) / 102 (439) Pass YPG - 33rd (183) / 128th (353) Rush YPG - 14th (95) / 12th (85) Scoring - 4th (10) / 65th (24) Wisconsin (3-2) has played Alabama (35-17 Loss) Miami (OH) (58-0) Troy (28-3) Hawaii (28-0) Iowa (10-6 Loss) Nebraska (2-3) has played BYU (33-28 Loss) South Alabama (48-9) Miami (36-33 Loss in OT) Southern Miss (36-28) Illinois (14-13 Loss) Here's the matchup. I see a really low scoring affair. Typical Big10 snoozer for those around the nation that will be tuning in. This is the best defense Nebraska will have faced by far. However Wisconsin's offense really is not that good. It will be interesting to see how Wisconsin decides to attack Banker's defense. Also think it will be VERY interesting to see how Riley and Co. decide to attack Wisconsin. They don't have very many glaring weakness' on the defensive side of the ball. But, I imagine Nebraska will try to throw the ball, ALOT, because thats apparently our strength compared to Wisconsin's biggest question mark (if you can give them one) on defense. If Tommy has a decent day we'll hang, but I'm afraid that if Tommy has a bad day tossing the rock, we're gunna be in for an ugly game offensively. Any other thoughts come to mind? 1 Quote Link to comment
WhatDoIKnow
Yesterday I planned on not watching this game. Today I might watch this game. Tomorrow I will probably watch this game. By Wednesday I will for sure watch this game. Thursday I think we might have a slight chance to win. Friday I think we will win. It's a curse. 5 Quote Link to comment
brophog
Not to be a sourpuss, but Illinois beat us largely without their Doak Walker contending RB. If that makes you guys feel any better :DOffense simply has to show up this week. Even with this coaching staff, I'll take a 99 percent chance to win with a minute left every week. BIG ERN
I watched the Iowa/Wisc game and wow are both of their offenses TERRIBLE. Solid defenses though Quote Link to comment

NUinID
This is not a vintage Wisconsin offense the are going to be missing their top TE and most likely there top WR. There running game is decent, but nothing like it has been in the past. There defense is good, but they haven't beat anyone that great. I live in Boise St. country, Whisky beat Hawaii 28-0, BSU just annihilated them 55-0 completely shutting them down. I was actually very surprised at that. All I am saying is they have looked decent against some teams that aren't all that good and still have 2 loses. Alabama ran them over for almost 300 yards. Not saying we will, just saying it has been done. I would much rather play them at home, they usually aren't as good on the road. But then if they are behind 6 or less with a minute left in the game Nebraska will lose. Quote Link to comment

Red Five
I have Wisconsin under 9.5 wins for a few greenbacks. A husker win would help out even out my Michigan under bet. 1 Quote Link to comment
walksalone
This is an angry Wisky team. I just wish this would be an angry Husker team, might make for a good game... Quote Link to comment

MichiganDad3
Okay, gonna give that whole optimistic thing I used to do a shot here. Wisconsin is without some key players. This is no small loss. We are talking guys that can hurt us. The guys behind them could too, but this should be more manageable. We like to play the best and all but reeling off a loss we can sure use a good performance. Facing some backups could instill some confidence in guys severly lacking it. Tommy should play out of his mind. I say this because he usualy comes back with a vengance when he feels he let the team down. Going on the road and being partially to blame for a botched game ending drive. I expect him to play a lot crisper than we have seen the last couple weeks. Besides after a 30% completion game, he can really only go up. Home game. Some think it doesn't matter. Well, I would rather us play this game in Lincoln opposed to Madison. Despite our struggles, the crowd should show up to play. Wisconsin tends to piss people off so I'm hoping for an angry crowd. Use that disappointment and boo the Badgers out of the stadium. Defensively we played better last week. I won't get into it much more than that. We were dead last and saw some improvement, all we can really ask at this point. Honestly I don't see us winning this game, but that may be the biggest reason we can. I have to assume they expect to slaughter us, why wouldn't they? Perhaps that is their downfall. Fingers crossed. The only thing I disagree with is TA playing great after he felt he let the team down. He threw an int the first play in OT against Miami, and his play wasn't anything special against Illinois.
