Mavric
We care. We always here. We're vocal. You know. Greatest. I guess I thought i summed it up pretty well. Here read it again. Only think this time. Tough concept i know. But think about it as you read it..... It doesnt say the classiest. Or the nicest. Or the smartest. It's the greatest. And I believe-blindly arrogantly I'll add-that we prove it week in and out. [/size] No, I don't think so. Lots of stadiums fill-up nowadays, and fans even show-up for Southern Mississippi. Try again. Which other stadiums have a sell out streak of at least one year. I'll wait...... Ok..so the sell-out record...this makes us the "greatest"? Well ... you're the one who brought up other stadiums filling up. Backpedaling already? Quote Link to comment
84HuskerLaw
WE are dam good fans. the crowd was loud and tried to encourage the team on to a win. They did all they could. Quote Link to comment
admo
You're new around here. Moving goal posts. Now that we are worse than any time in my life, apparently it's no big deal and if you're upset about it you need to reassess your priorities. Whereas if it were the last 7 years it was life or death. I thought you said you were going fishing next Saturday. Perhaps if the Huskers win you could do it every weekend. Quote Link to comment

84HuskerLaw
Now, if you are talking about the 'fans' that post on these message boards and offer unending criticism and bash the coaches or players or others, then perhaps you can say they are not being 'great' as fans. But, these boards are meant expressly for discussion. Bad fans would be the ones that are running around after the games and setting fire to cars or trashing businesses or damaging the stadium property or assaulting opponents' team or fans. Bo Pelini is the only recent Husker I am aware of that has ever actually assaulted verbally and even threatened physical assault of an opponent or fan thereof. He was fired for his misbehavior. We have a few bad fans that act badly and I am sure a few are escorted out of the stadium during each and every game. Booze and immaturity and just plain bad attitude exist in our fan base. But overall, our fans are very good as compared to other teams. I have attended numerous Husker games (for wins and losses both) around the country. Our fans are better sports and less obnoxious that all I have experienced, although we have a few bad apples. I would say we are the best or greatest fans. We are not perfect but no fans are - we just seem to be a little better than all others, making our fans the best or greatest. Quote Link to comment
GOAT
The way we collectively ran Solich, Callahan, Pelini (and probably eventually Riley) out of town...I'm starting to seriously wonder if we. collectively, aren't really The Worst Fans in College Football. I've been as guilty of negativity as anyone. I'm beginning to think that we've been acting like a bunch of over-indulged and entitled idiots for the past 15 years. No fan base in the country would accept the crap product that we've endured up to this point this season. Well, except maybe Oregon State's. Quote Link to comment
Sho'nuff
I have to say I'm a little surprised about this thread. Not because of the topic. But because I was under the impression that we wouldn't hear from the OP until after Halloween. Quote Link to comment

Vitalis Jackson
Well, you know, squeeky wheels and all that. The folks with the flaming hair have a hard time restraining themselves in message boards. They just have to post their frustration. It's like the 15% of eligible voters that vote in off-year national elections--if you assumed they represented 100% with the incompetent shysters they nominate/elect, the country would indeed be crazy. IOW, don't listen too much to the howlers. Stay calm and carry on. 1 Quote Link to comment
