Landlord
Whoa! Cool. He's a grad student right? So he's got one year to push competition to get better - that's a good thing for us. Welcome Tanner! Quote Link to comment
zoogs
This is *very* cool. I'm super excited. You may be looking at our starting 2017 QB here. At least, he'll figure into the competition and has the leg up in experience. I heard they were looking at getting him an extra year, so I don't know if that means he'll have '17 and '18. For sure he's sitting out '16, right? Quote Link to comment
ColoradoHusk
He is NOT a grad student. This is a traditional transfer. He will sit out 2016. Currently he will only have 1 year of eligibility left in 2017, but he's requesting another year to be granted so he can play in 2018, too. 3 Quote Link to comment
alwayshusking
Gives us another option for 2017. Good deal. This staff has been good at identifying and developing QB talent at OSU. Quote Link to comment
obert1
So potentially looking at Obrien, Lee, Bush and Darlington and any 17 recruit. Missing anyone? Quote Link to comment

I know that the coaching staff was working on it with the NCAA, but don't know if that will be the case. Quote Link to comment

There is nothing they can do to make him eligible for 2016. Grad students don't have to sit out a year aka Russell Wilson at Wisconsin and Everett Goldston at FSU. It has something to do with the date he graduated and some other confusing NCAA rules that they probably don't understand either. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
I don't think he's graduated. 1 Quote Link to comment
NUance
Boom! This is a BOOM, right? Right? 2 Quote Link to comment
RedDenver
So he's going to count towards the schollie limit for two years, but can only play for one. Doesn't sound like the best plan unless we've got plenty of schollies to go around, and I don't think that's the case. 1 Quote Link to comment
Red_October
Tommy, you have your wake up call if you put it on snooze after POB arrived/ Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
This doesn't affect Tommy. Quote Link to comment
