NUance
Davis brothers cutting up, breaking through as Husker defensive linemen By Sam McKewon / World-Herald staff writer POSTED: SUNDAY, MARCH 13, 2016 LINCOLN — As if shot from a cannon, Nebraska freshman defensive tackle Khalil Davis bolts into the backfield and tackles a Husker runner for a 5-yard loss. On the next play, he forces another poor run by dominating his man. He gets a fist bump from defensive line coach John Parrella. LINK Can't wait to see the twins tearing it up on the field! : 4 Quote Link to comment
The Dude
I'm not as worried about the position as a lot of people seem to be. Losing Collins and Valentine certainly hurts depth, but it's not like their production was anything irreplaceable. It only becomes a problem if guys start getting injured there. I have more questions about DE. 1 Quote Link to comment
Redux
Collins was really good, and VV's size was certainly an asset. But I couldn't be more excited about these guys, so excited to see what they can do. Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
I am very excited about our D line this year. I think we have 5 guys that all can get it done and contribute this year. Davis Davis Maurice McMullen Williams All have different gifts and it's going to be gun to watch. Oh. Yeah. And throw in Parrella's coaching. Quote Link to comment
ScottyIce
And Stoltenberg!!!! Quote Link to comment
ScottyIce
I think they were just referring to inside guys... Outside, yes I'd agree on Neal. 1 Quote Link to comment
theknife
Outside the two deep so far sounds like Freedom, Dzuris, Sedric King, and Natter. Hopefully Alex Davis and Neal can bring something as well. Peyton Newell hasn't been mentioned this far that I've seen or read, so I'm not sure if he is seeing time on the inside or outside. Quote Link to comment
MichiganDad3
Replacing MC and VV is the biggest factor in improving this year IMO. If the Twins can equal VV and MC, then the D should do OK this year. Quote Link to comment
skersfan
A lot of expectations from two freshmen, replacing two that were counseled they were ready for the NFL. Hope everyone is correct about this. It is great to hear that they are developing and enjoying themselves. Exciting time as we begin to turn this thing around.. Quote Link to comment

Hedley Lamarr
Davis twins seem to have a little swagger for freshmen. I like it. Parella is their coach, I expect swagger to return to our defense Quote Link to comment
