BigRedBuster
To be fair to him without any bias whatsoever, he is extremely frugal on a lot of his buildings and investments. He has a great reputation for building projects well under budget (many times ahead of schedule). I was watching a video of one of my business mentors (Grant Cardone) and he was in Trump Tower marveling at how nice the place looked and how cheaply he had it built. (Cue the comments about how he doesn't pay his workers so it's all an illusion) No need to when you just did. 2 Link to comment
BigRedBuster
And a lot of the money the Trump campaign has spent is going directly back to Donald Trump. In May, according to Federal Election Commission filings, Trump spent about $1 million of his campaign’s funds on products and services from business he owns, including: $423,372 to rent out Mar-a-Lago, his Palm Beach club $349,540 to Tag Air, his fleet of private jets $29,715 to rent out the Trump International Golf Club $35,845 to rent out the Trump National Golf Club $72,800 in rent on Trump Tower Earlier this year, the Trump campaign spent thousands to stay at Trump hotels, eat at Trump restaurants, and serve Trump bottled water at their events. The Associated Press calculated that, in all, $6 million of Trump campaign money has gone back to the Trump Organization. (Cue the comments about how he doesn't pay his workers so it's all an illusion) I bet he really did do a great job building Trump Tower under budget. What did you say about not having to pay his employees? LINK Journalist David Cay Johnston questioned the particular use of concrete, and suggested there was a connection with organized crime.[12] Trump testified in 1990 he was unaware that 200 undocumented Polish immigrants, some of whom lived at the site during a transit strike and worked round-the-clock shifts (for which they were allegedly paid $4 and $5 per hour off-the-book wages, if at all), were involved in the destruction of the former Bonwit Teller building and Trump Tower project.[13] Trump said that he rarely visited the demolition site[13] and never noticed the laborers, who were known as the "Polish Brigade" and who were visually distinct for their lack of hard hats.[14] A labor consultant and FBI informant, separately convicted on tax evasion charges, testified that Trump was aware of the illegal workers' status.[13] In testimony, Trump admitted that he and an executive used the pseudonym "John Baron" in some of his business dealings,[13] although Trump claimed that he did not do so until years after Trump Tower was constructed.[14] A labor lawyer testified that he was threatened over the phone with a $100 million lawsuit by someone using that name from the Trump Organization.[14] ("Lots of people use pen names", Trump quipped to a reporter. "Ernest Hemingway used one."[14]) Filed in 1983, the class-action lawsuit over unpaid labor union pension and medical obligations went through several appeals and non-jury trials, and was at one point compared by a presiding judge to Jarndyce and Jarndyce, the seemingly unending case which forms the backbone of Charles Dickens' Bleak House.[15] The lawsuit was ultimately settled in 1999, with its records sealed.[14] Trump was granted permission by the City of New York to build the top 20 stories of the building in exchange for operating the atrium as a public space, owned by the city. In the lobby of the building are two Trump merchandise kiosks (one of which replaced a long public bench) operating out of compliance with city regulations. The city issued a notice of violation in July 2015 demanding the bench be put back in place. Although the Trump Organization initially said that the violation was without merit,[16] a lawyer speaking for Trump's organization stated in January 2016 the kiosks would be removed in two to four weeks, prior to an expected court ruling.[17] Before the demolition of the Bonwit Teller building, Trump promised to donate the sculptures from the structure's Art Deco facade, as well as the decorative grillwork above the store's main entrance, to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.[18] The museum's appraised valued the sculptures at at least $200,000.[19] However, without warning, Trump's workmen shattered the sculptures with jackhammers and cut the grillwork into scrap metal. Several days later, Trump admitted that he had ordered the destruction himself.[18] Later in 1980, he boasted that the decor of his Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City included "real art, not like the junk I destroyed at Bonwit Teller".[20] The New York Timescondemned Trump's actions as "esthetic vandalism", and a spokesman for Mayor Edward Koch said Trump had failed his "moral responsibility to consider the interests of the people of the city”.[18] Another interesting article if you're interested. http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/donald-says-controversy-over-his-tower-was-trumped-n397821 Link to comment

Danny Bateman
No, she's just an awkward public speaker. That would be like telling Trump he doesn't need to brag about how great he is. It's just who they are. Link to comment

HuskerNation1
If Trump can remain disciplined enough and on message, he will win in November. But that is a big if. He was so impressive in his speech yesterday that the far-left magazine "Slate" even discussed how effective he was in prosecuting Hillary. http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2016/06/donald_trump_s_speech_about_hillary_clinton_was_terrifyingly_effective.html Meanwhile, it looks like Hillary's email troubles are going to linger this whole campaign, with her IT staffer pleading the 5th again, while http://thehill.com/policy/national-security/284481-clinton-it-specialist-invokes-the-fifth-100-times Both campaigns are going to have ups and downs. They both are not ideal candidates and have flaws, but many of Trump's flaws stem from his mouth/words, while her flaws are from her actions/policies. Link to comment
TGHusker
Well at least Trump has the balls to go after Hillary and her corruption. Something most congressional congressmen don't have (the balls that is - although they may be corrupted by wanting to remain in good press) Link to comment

While I think I can understand how Repubs voted for Trump with all of his warts in order to over turn the establishment apple cart, I cannot understand the level of head in the sand, looking the other way corruption that must be in the dem party to nominate someone like Hillary and all of her baggage. Good grief, have a little integrity and nominate Sanders (yes even if he is a socialist). At least he is true to what the liberals demand in a candidate without already being totally corrupted by the system. Hillary is establishment, she is a part of the problem in DC and it will only get worse if she is elected. Link to comment
