So I looked it up myself at the CDC website. Age seems to be a key factor in getting vaccinated. The 12 to 17 year range was 25 to 37%. 18 to 39 was in the 40s. By the time you hit 75+, it was 77%.

ethnicity data was limited. Interestingly enough American Indian/Alaskan Native had the highest %. The black community was the lowest %.

There's been a couple studies that suggest zinc might help and a couple that suggest it does not. All of them say more clinical trials are needed. There's insufficient evidence to make a conclusion yet.

Not quite the "Many, many doctors across the globe would also disagree with your assessment on HCQ and so would published studies." that you claimed.

Here's the original study published Sep 2020:

And a study that did not find any improvement due to zinc but also suggests further study:

Where are the ones posted that you say it didn’t help?  You linked to 1 that read they don’t really know because admittedly the study design may have sucked by their own admission.  Cohorts of 192 vs 36???

no wonder @knapplcgave you the sad trombone music.

I've shown multiple studies and you've shown nothing. I'll let people decide if the linked studies or your empty claims are more persuasive.

This is the original study that I linked in my post. From the abstract:

Quote

Conclusion This study provides the first in vivo evidence that zinc sulfate in combination with hydroxychloroquine may play a role in therapeutic management for COVID-19.

From the discussion:

Quote

Future studies are needed to confirm or refute the hypothesis that the addition of zinc sulfate to a zinc ionophore such as hydroxychloroquine may reduce the need for ICU care in patients with COVID-19.

Quote

From the abstract:

Quote

Conclusions: Zinc with an ionophore was associated with increased rates of discharge home and a 24% reduced risk of in-hospital mortality among COVID-19 patients, while neither zinc alone nor the ionophore alone reduced mortality. Further randomized trials are warranted.

This is a press release of a study that hasn't even been peer-reviewed yet.

So the two studies you linked support exactly what I've been posting (in fact one of them I already posted), and the last link is a press release of a study that hasn't been vetted yet.

None of which is support for your claim: "Many, many doctors across the globe would also disagree with your assessment on HCQ and so would published studies."

Who cares if it "helps?" Aspirin "helps."

trump claimed it was a cure. Multiple times. It's not. He didn't use it to cure his own Covid.

Maybe stop defending a guy who tried to overthrow our government, huh?

Wow you have traveled a long way from “Trumps boondoggle that killed two people’ to ‘who cares if it helps’. :thumbs

I dozens of dogs dare you.

Dozens for the dozens of people who died taking trump's boondoggle before the study was cut short.

Not to mention the well-publicized man and his wife who died last spring after trump started pushing it.

I clicked on the first study listed on the table (https://c19hcq.com/gautretjaa.html)

Quote

HCQ was significantly associated with reduction / elimination of viral load, which was enhanced with AZ. Updated 8/13: responses to this paper have raised methodological issues [1, 2, 3].

The second study (https://c19hcq.com/huangjmcb.html) listed had a whopping 22 patients.

The third study (https://c19hcq.com/esper.html) wasn't even randomized.

The National Institute of Health (NIH) has analyzed a number of these studies and none of them are conclusive and many have questionable methodologies: https://www.covid19treatmentguidelines.nih.gov/tables/table-2b/

Here's what theNIH has to say about HCQ as a covid treatment:

Quote

The COVID-19 Treatment Guidelines Panel (the Panel) recommends against the use of chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine and/or azithromycin for the treatment of COVID-19 in hospitalized patients (AI) and in nonhospitalized patients (AIIa).

And here's the World Health Organization (WHO):

But I'm sure that website probably knows better.
