TonyStalloni
Trump fires acting US Attorney General WASHINGTON — President Trump fired his acting attorney general on Monday after she defiantly refused to defend his immigration executive order, accusing the Democratic holdover of trying to obstruct his agenda for political reasons. Taking action in an escalating crisis for his 10-day-old administration, Mr. Trump declared that Sally Q. Yates had “betrayed” the administration, the White House said in a statement. betrayed the administration....not the united states. She was only going to be acting AG for another week or two. What difference does it make if she goes on an early vacation? Link to comment

You seriously think for a minute Eric Holder or Loretta Lynch would have crossed their handler and broken ranks on any issue? Their loyalty was to the administration not the office and what they thought may or may not have been right was a distant second. 1 Link to comment
zoogs
This is a terrifying statement of intent. Both the urgency of the Trump Administration's commitment to this EO, and their willingness to personally demonize anyone who stands in their way. There will be no "moderating forces" for the Trump Administration, because they will quite evidently be either cowed or purged and vilified. 1 Link to comment

And the fact you asked me that means you're not comprehending my opinion on the matter. I literally just said in the post you're replying to that no one cares she was fired 2 weeks ahead of time. To the rest, people should do what is right regardless of their loyalty to a person or party. 2 Link to comment

mrandyk
Meanwhile out in Portland about 150 "peaceful protesters" decided it was ok to assault and knock out a man who claimed he voted for Trump. My fear is that this country gets worse before it gets better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jf008xA1x1Q Of course this country is going to get worse before it gets better. We know it's going to get worse with Trump in charge, the questions are how much worse and who will make it great again? Link to comment

That just gives them an excuse to bring out who they really are. Pieces of sh#t on both sides and that is why Im losing more faith in humanity every day. 1 Link to comment

zoogs
In addition to the visa restrictions above, Trump’s executive order further cuts the refugee program to 50,000 annually, indefinitely blocks all refugees from Syria, and suspends all refugee admissions for 120 days. This is a response to a phantom menace. From 1975 to the end of 2015, 20 refugees have been convicted of attempting or committing terrorism on U.S. soil, and only three Americans have been killed in attacks committed by refugees—all in the 1970s. Zero Americans have been killed by Syrian refugees in a terrorist attack on U.S. soil. The annual chance of an American dying in a terrorist attack committed by a refugee is one in 3.6 billion. The other 17 convictions have mainly been for aiding or attempting to join foreign terrorists.
