DOJ Initial Russia Hearings

There's another possibility - that the report exonerates Trump as much as Barr intimated, and the White House is letting this speculation fester until it's a committable position, then they'll release the report and those people will be publicly embarrassed.

But to prove that, they'll have to release the report.

What could be even more damaging, politically, is if it's not released and then leaked (tomorrow is Friday), and it hammers Trump. Then Trump's actions and appointments, and the actions of those he appointed, will be fair game.

But, again, this is all speculation until the report is released or leaked. And again - tomorrow's Friday.

Just curious but what does tomorrow being friday have to do with anything?

If I was Trump I'd be PISSED that people from my own party keep blocking the release of a report that "totally exonerated" me.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Rand Paul, brave Libertarian hero and defender of truth/freedom/the American way and eternal opponent of federal government authority, uses his federal government authority to block the release of the truth & the freedom of information for our citizens.

How about that American way, though?

Uhhh, this snippet is pretty interesting:

Quote

Some members of the office were particularly disappointed that Barr did not release summary information the special counsel team had prepared, according to two people familiar with their reactions.

“There was immediate displeasure from the team when they saw how the attorney general had characterized their work instead,” according to one U.S. official briefed on the matter.

Summaries were prepared for different sections of the report, with a view that they could made public, the official said.

The report was prepared “so that the front matter from each section could have been released immediately — or very quickly,” the official said. “It was done in a way that minimum redactions, if any, would have been necessary, and the work would have spoken for itself.”

Mueller’s team assumed the information was going to be made available to the public, the official said, “and so they prepared their summaries to be shared in their own words — and not in the attorney general’s summary of their work, as turned out to be the case.”

That's really a pretty significant development, if true.

If that's true, if and when the full report is made public, we should have a rather clear-cut view of their findings on each different aspect of their investigation very quickly.

We don't need to hear their work through Bill Barr's filter if we can get it straight from the horse's mouth.

So, in other words, we should have those summaries already.
