Now if they'd give him the ball more than 8 times a game....

 

 

Agree. Although he did get more than 8 rushing attempts in 5 of the last 7 games (had 8 and 7 in the other two) and didn't have fewer than 9 touches in any of those games.

It turns out Detroit Lions starting tailback Ameer Abdullah was never going to get back on the field after his Week 2 foot injury last season. As he admitted to fellow Nebraska alum Adam Carriker, he actually suffered a Lisfranc injury, an extremely painful injury that requires extensive rehab.

So I guess that's why he disappeared after a couple games last season, and never got back on the field. Heh. :dunno:
