I didn't say he used his talent to it's fullest extent. After listening to this, I would say attitude was a far bigger factor in him "enjoy mop up duty @NCST, woohoowoohoo". Quote Link to comment

knapplc
Of course he's full of himself. Athletes rarely get to the top of the pyramid without a pretty strong self image. His self-confidence may be over the top, but it's not unusual in higher-level athletes. Quote Link to comment

I think it's a higher level of self-confidence because he didn't have his dad (after his passing) in his life after a young age. When boys lose their fathers, they usually go two ways 1) strong, men of the house type that are humble, or 2) momma's boys who have their confidence and importance propped up by their mothers. Beck is obviously the 2nd type, and he didn't have a male influence in his life to "keep him in check". Quote Link to comment

I was around enough Husker players while in college to know that they can be real jackasses and full of themselves. But, none of them come anywhere close to this guy. Quote Link to comment
GSG
What's going on with this guy? He's been tweeting a lot today. Here are some samples: 2 Quote Link to comment

Except, performance wise, he's a low level athlete. He hasn't done jack squat in his athletic career post high school to warrant such an absurd self-aggrandizing ego. 2 Quote Link to comment
