No, I don't know him. That's why I said "Lamar seems to me......" If I knew him, and this were accurate....I would have said, "Lamar Is....." Quote Link to comment

Mavric
Quote The rise of Kade Warner wasn't something anticipated by even his position coach when last week started. Basically, Troy Walters put Warner out there to get some reps while Andre Hunt was dealing with an injury. "I was really throwing him out there just to get through practice, because we were short on numbers." Well, "he had a good Monday, a good Tuesday, made some plays, knew what he was doing. And by Thursday he was working with the 1s." Walters described the redshirt freshman as being like "a coach on the field" who can help other guys get lined up. Perimeter blocking is going to have a big say on who plays at receiver. "Most of the run game, we have perimeter passes off of it. So if you can't hold up on the perimeter, you're probably not going to play as much as you'd like to. We have a saying, 'No block, no rock.'" 247 Quote Link to comment

Just FYI, there are two names on this questionable list that are key contributors for the Badgers - Hicks and Van Ginkel. Hicks has been a pleasant surprise in the defensive backfield this year so far in a corps that is very inexperienced except for one guy (D'Cota Dixon). Van Ginkel got hurt a couple of games ago and played only a few snaps at Iowa - he is one of the leaders and makes a lot of splash plays. There is more depth at LB than at other positions (though it's getting thinner . . .), but it's still a pretty significant loss if he's not able to go. One more comment on another name on the list - Shaw, when healthy, would be competing for the #2 RB, but there are 2-3 nearly equal alternatives, so not much of an issue there - he hasn't played this year at all. 3 1 Quote Link to comment

Van Ginkel is a good player. Sincerely sorry for their losses. 1 Quote Link to comment
