She gave a bad/terrible answer to a question. It will/could likely cost her the nomination. It doesn't automatically make her a racist.

Why would it cost her the nomination? People will forget about it in two weeks. That said ,she is so far behind it probably won't matter.

Exactly. The man who is so far ahead of Haley in the polls is now openly cribbing from the Nazi playbook, so it doesn't really affect her either way.

I'm okay coming up with another word for it. If she's not racist in her heart, but willing to give a racist-coddling answer twice, what's the most accurate term for Haley?

Not only is she racist but she (like you said, I think) had a bit of a chance to sort of "fix" it, and still seems to not say the right thing.  Which makes her either a moron, a stubborn idiot or just flat out cruel.

Or.....a reasonably savvy Republican trying to read the room of people she needs to elect her.

You might be right. I guess Biden still got the nomination after scrutiny on his racist gaffes.

I remember that he had racists gaffes. I do not remember what they were.  I chalked it up to him being an old fart at the time and didn't think he was racist. :D

She's the GOPs only shot to unseat said man in my opinion. I was looking forward to voting against him in the CO republican primary, but 4 idiot judges took that away.

Actually, her saying what she did is the only chance she has to continue momentum.

By the time the general election comes around, America will have forgotten it and her base will vote for her no matter what she does or says because she’s not a socialist commie lib.

I don't know, man. I don't think it's unfounded or even radical to disallow a man trying to overthrow the democratic process from appearing on the ballot. And we haven't even gotten to the top secret document handling that earns others high treason charges. Or the felony tax evasion he's been dodging for years. Convicted felons can't vote in Colorado. I don't think criminal sheetheels should be allowed to run, either.

If your vote would have helped Trump lose the Colorado primary, that would have been the better comeuppance. But that wasn't likely to happen. If you want to unseat him, treat the judges decision as good news.

I pretty sure he said "if you don't vote Biden, you ain't Black."

Not so much racist as tone deaf

Also "poor kids can be just as smart as white kids"

Edit to add:

and he described Obama as "articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

And don’t forget about this gem…

"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy," Biden said

https://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/01/31/biden.obama/

I was adding that when you posted lol

And don't forget he opposed integration because he didn't want his kids to attend "racial jungle" schools
