Doubling the performance of the 2nd best country is pretty good considering Biden's handling of the economy.

Kind of wished they would consider the vibes instead of just blowing economic metrics out of the water.

Gas prices in November 2017, 2018, and 2019 averaged about $2.60.

Adjusted for inflation you're paying less. ($2.60 in 2019 is $3.11 today).

Not really that big of a deal.

I still wish it was like .69 cents when I started driving!  But still.

It looks like Italy, UK, France and Canada are performing pretty much even or better with the US coming out of the 2020 trough in terms of growth from that point.

I think there's some truth to this. Those countries have done a good job recovering their losses from the pandemic.

They all have equally struggled to push beyond recovery into growth. The United States and Canada are the only countries that haven't really stagnated after that point.

And the United States has doubled their performance. Every other country in the world would rather have our growth and inflation.

Can’t believe all these pesky Democrats say they aren’t better off economically under Biden.  It’s interesting to see when I’m being told the bad economic numbers for a Biden are just partisan Republicans pulling his number down:dunno

https://www.mediaite.com/news/dnc-touts-bidenomics-at-work-hours-after-new-poll-shows-just-24-of-democrats-say-theyre-financially-better-off-with-biden/

Thirty-one percent of Democratic respondents said that since Biden moved into the White House in January 2021 they have become either somewhat or much worse off, while just 24% said their position has improved.

Voters more generally are markedly less optimistic. A combined 16% say they are somewhat or much better off under Biden, while 32% say they’re somewhat worse off and 23% say they’re in a “much” worse financial position.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams is urging the city’s richest to open their wallets to help the city weather a financial storm created by the ongoing migrant crisis, days after the city unveiled deep budget cuts.

"This is a moment where it’s an all hands on deck moment," Adams told a Police Athletic League lunch on Friday, according to the New York Post.

"The way it goes, New York goes, America goes, but I’m going to need you more than ever to support many of these organizations like PAL, Robin Hood Foundation, and others," he said. "A moment where our philanthropic interests must align with some of the gaps and services that we are seeing today."

Adams also reportedly urged New Yorkers to "reach out to Washington, D.C." and demand more support for the city, which he says is carrying a "national crisis."

When will we have real immigration reform so these people can actually get a job and contribute to the local economy…..like they want to do.

It would be nice, and it better include a limited amount of people each year.
