My head tells me we lose... my HEART tells me we win. I'm very hopeful. Some folks on this forum make a half-athed 'pass' at saying this isn't a rivalry. It IS a rivalry to ME! I think it's a rivalry to this current team as well. I really DO believe this team has enough talent and plays to beat Iowa and as a fan, I WILL BE ROOTING EXACTLY FOR THAT TIL THE END OF THE GODDAM GAME~ GOBIG RED! BEATIOWA!

I liken our plight to the McGregor - Mayfield fight. We have great athletes with drive and talent, BUT not yet a perfect fit. Frost will utilize what he can and will turn this around but it ain't gonna be in round one or two... OF COURSE Frost is feeling heat but he is well trained and SMART. The ship WILL right. If Coach Scott Frost can SOMEHOW keep Damian Jackson from EATING LIVE HUMANS during the games he's involved in, I'll be shocked! Maybe the fans could throw him fresh RED warm beef quarters during breaks in the action? I think Charlie McBride would have LOVED to have had this kid on his squad. Ok, ok, now you all know I'm old. I haven't read this thread... Shame on me. Ahem... Hey, I was very very disturbed the first few minutes, right? THEN, I settled down and just watched the game. I saw our D swarming TO the ball over and over... Saw them being in position time after time... Saw our D shut down their star running back 75% of the time. Saw Tanner Lee is good, but not the second coming... YET. He's good, has some skills and keeps composed. Good LORD, he should do nothing but IMPROVE...! I saw an offense that kept it's composure and some running backs that MADE some holes OUT OF NOTHING. Saw receivers do some really good things. I saw some mistakes and miscues, but overall I think the team and coaching staff HOLDS THEIR HEAD HIGH considering this loss. I saw a much MUCH improved team overall tonight. Hell no, they ain't playing for the NC this year, but who thought they would??? I wish I could message every player and tell them GOOD JOB and way to stay COMPOSED! GO BIG RED!

I uhhhhhh, LIKE it when the CORNHUSKERS are shown in relationship to CORN... I like that the state is 'stereotyped' as rural. I like the tradition of small, rural, dusty towns and their blue-collar 'stereo-types' gettin' together in groups and passionately watch 'their' team as it takes the field. I like the 70's version of Herbie Husker. I like big, 'corn-fed' "hogs up front". I'm sorry but THAT is what a lot of us were raised around, taught to respect... I like listening to my local AM station when I can't watch the Huskers on TV... I think it's awesome to pull into Whitney, or Crawford or Danbury or Dix and seeing N flags flying, people talking about the season and CORNHUSKER regalia displayed in PRIDE. So, I kinda think the commercial was fine...
