Interesting it took so long to find out about this, even if it did happen in another state.

University of Nebraska wide receiver Stanley Morgan, Jr. was arrested May 6 in Port Orange, Florida, for felony possession of marijuana, according to a police report obtained by KETV Newswatch 7.

Police said Morgan Jr. was found to have 21.4 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop.
Fellow Husker Antonio Reed also was in the car.

This is on Bo, right?

On a side note...for all the fans that have a hard time believing this...you probably need to stop having a hard time believing it. For most of these guys, just like for most of us when we were in college the fun and partying (not always drugs and drinking) take first place.

It's just marijuana. The sooner we get over this national conniption, the better.

I have zero sense of quantity, however. Does 21 grams suggest he is dealing? I mean, again...imho, who cares. I'm the last person to want special treatment for the sake of football wins, but we really, really, really need to stop this s--- over weed.

Everyone knows it's a terrible rule, but a rule nonetheless. Have to be smarter than this

Yes, agreed, but in addition, until such a time exists, people need to make better decisions for themselves and the people that depend on them.

Wow...is this a serious post? I am sort of shocked at this sentiment coming from you and I really don't know if you are kidding or not.

I don't care if they smoke pot and I don't care if he doesn't get suspended. I am guessing you are kidding though?

I think under 20 is better than over 20 in Florida. I think they are pretty lax on their pot laws.

On the special treatment part for players...I could not care less if they get special treatment.

The officer said he saw fresh cannabis in "plain view" on the center console of the vehicle. A search of the car found a plastic bag of presumed cannabis in a gray backpack with Morgan's name on it.
Morgan told the officer that that the cannabis belonged to him, which he had purchased for $100 when he came to Florida on vacation. Reed, and a woman in the back seat of the vehicle were not arrested.

Wow. Sitting right there on the console. He's stupid for being so careless about it. And doubly stupid for admitting it.

For frame of reference, the minimum number of ounces of marijuana that carries a felony charge in Florida is anything greater than 0.705 ounces (or ~20 grams), one of the most strict states. Stanley had 21.4 grams.

Surprisingly, Nebraska's minimum is 16 ounces or 453.6 grams. #TheGoodLife

Why kidding? It was marijuana. Not meth. Not heroin. Shoot, if this happened in Colorado any of a half dozen other states it would be (more or less) legal.

That said, I'm shocked at how careless Stanley was to let this happen. Double facepalm.:facepalm:
