You couldn't be more right about that. Regardless of your argument against cannabis, I think it's hard to argue that the idea of a cannabis prohibition to the extent we see today doesn't go against the ideals this country was founded upon.

It's mostly illegal because paper companies didn't want hemp to replace them.

I totally agree and I actually brought that up a long time ago in another thread and you seemed to not agree at that time (different topic) It is nice to see that people can change their minds.

 

I, at one time, would have been totally against legalizing pot...I have tried 1/2 of an edible once...it made me tired...I went to bed. That was it. I didn't really care for it one way or another. But I am all for legalizing it.

 

For the non-users...like myself, do you guys care if it is legal or not?

I totally agree and I actually brought that up a long time ago in another thread and you seemed to not agree at that time (different topic) It is nice to see that people can change their minds.

 

I, at one time, would have been totally against legalizing pot...I have tried 1/2 of an edible once...it made me tired...I went to bed. That was it. I didn't really care for it one way or another. But I am all for legalizing it.

Non-user mostly because I would lose my job if found out. Tax the bejeebers out of it for a steady revenue flow.

You'll have to pull up the conversation you're talking about, or you're talking out your ass. I haven't changed my opinion on pot in a long time.

 

I said it was a different topic, not pot, but about laws and how some laws maybe should not be. I applaud you for it!

 

I think the odd thing with pot is that people of all ages seem to be okay with it being legal.

Like I said...I don't use it at all but I just don't see why it isn't legal. I might use it from time to time if it was legal in my state, I am not really sure. Probably depends on the price!

Is there a breathalyzer test for pot? I'd have serious reservations about making it legal before we have the technology to test for it. Or maybe people don't think it's any big deal to have stoned drivers. :

 

OTOH, we should NOT be sending people to prison for marijuana possession. What a waste of taxpayer dollars.

For our older posters...was getting in trouble for pot even an issue on college campuses 30 years ago?
