  2. Yeah - if I remember correctly, they have a limited number of roster spots for non-Canadian players and most of those are already filled. Not to downplay the honor for EMC, but there were only 18 total picks and 7 of those were kickers or punters. It's like a supplemental draft. There's also no guarantee these players will sign - Tory Taylor was picked in the 2nd round, but I imagine he'll go with the Chicago Bears who picked him in the 4th round of the NFL draft. But if he randomly gets cut (he won't), the B.C. Lions would have his rights for the CFL. Nouri Nouili was selected in the CFL draft as well, last pick to the Montreal Alouettes.
  3. It's definitely not exclusive to the left, but a great deal of it probably has to do with personal awakening in young adults. It's the first time you're really allowed to think on your own and form your own opinions. It's also the first time you're probably learning that the propaganda you've been feed in grade school is a little... lacking in authenticity and the whole story/truth.
  4. Has anyone actually found what the proposal actually says? Seems like there are a lot of misleading or down right lies about this. I've looked around and all I can find is references to a 25% tax on unrealized captial gains for those with more than $100 million in wealth: If that's true, then it's not going affect anyone's house appreciating unless you've got a $100+ million mansion.
  5. Yeah, it's not like both of those have already happened in American history, so they surely don't make sense.
  6. Insurrection Barbie putting in work for Mattel, Inc to keep her bosses from getting taxed.
  7. Rothstein likes it. Wanted a PF but hey... probably still use one more schollie, but you're right Red Five on who is the mystery. (Wouldn't mind them paying back A&M by taking Julius Marble. Also, the Aggies got another guard today, further reducing Wilcher's PT there.)
  8. One of the biggest disappointments in the spring game is Alvano missing FGs. That's something that is much less affected by the format of the game and it's probably way less of a stress situation than he will see all year next season. And, he shanked some. That's concerning. He has some work to do this summer.
  9. Is that the Canadian Football league? He was the number one draft pick in the entire draft?
  10. Read my post again, where I clearly addressed all this, including a funny Ken Burns joke.
  11. Okay I'll bite. What's your opinion on an alternative to the situation?

  13. Success and failure on the front line will determine Ukraine and Russia's will and desire to fight. To win the front line it means men and artillery. Ukraine is out of men and we're low on artillery. Zalensky said Russia is mobilizing 300,000 men, Ukraine isn't any where near that number. As was mentioned here a while back, Russia and their allies are producing 2x, 3x, 4x as many artillery shells and tank rounds as the West depending on what numbers you find. Ukraine hasn't held any ground this year, slowly being pushed back everyday. I don't see how this war has a 10 year life span, might not make it to the end of the year.
  14. When will the taxation be Kenough?! https://www.forbes.com/sites/robertwood/2024/04/29/president-biden-has-proposed-tax-increases-here-are-six-of-them/?sh=2cf92e04168c Per this article “If your taxable income is $47,025 or less, you pay zero tax on your long-term capital gain.” Couldn’t find exact numbers, but according do a Google search, about 58% of Americans make less than $50k/year. “Biden’s FY 2025 budget proposal? For high income taxpayers, the long-term capital gains tax could nearly double to 39.6%. That proposed capital gains rate increase would apply to investors who make at least $1 million a year. In fact, it is possible to go even higher, as high as 44.6%.” So per the article, the 44.6% capital gains tax rate would apply to people making $1million or more. Which according to a Google search is about .1% of the population. From the article “If passed, the billionaire tax would be a minimum of 25% for households with net worth exceeding $100 million.” Per a Google search, there’s about 10k Americans whose household has a net worth of $100m. Only thing regarding the repeal of section 1031 “Only real estate qualifies, and it must be of like-kind. It has to be business or investment property, not your personal residence.” So it wouldn’t apply to personal residence. Well frankly I’m stunned that “Insurrection Barbie” would seemingly try to mislead people.

  17. I wonder if that will work out as well as brexit did
  18. Antonio is a lot bigger in person. Has the frame to easily carry 200-210 lbs.
  19. Good - I thought you might be washing windows at a certain book dispensary
  20. Pretty sure that's false. You would need to make $1M a year for that 400k to be taxed.
  21. Is there a more reliable source on this than “Insurrection Barbie”?
