  1. Which is why I believe he said he wish he didn't redshirt some people. Bo has always been "know the defense, you'll play, despite your talent" guy. I think last year showed him that you've got to get your athletes out on the field, even if they make mistakes. Surprisingly, speed can make up for a lot of mistakes. See David, Lavonte. Never seen a LB more out of position in my life, in his junior year. But he was athletic enough to make up for his mistakes. But Lavonte was the only one out of position (focusing on the lb's) so he had time to make it up. If we have more than one messing up at a time then there is not enough speed in the world to make up for it. Such is the danger of youth.
  2. X2 X3 X4 X0 +1. And now we are back at the beginning. So there was a party, huh?
  3. I told my buddy they did a "Rebuilding the Pipeline" pic. He was thrilled. Then I showed him the pic. He threw up in his mouth a little. Good times
  4. You may want to change that link Corey. If I open it in a browser it logs me into your facebook account.
  5. Clemson has music production? Anyone has music production?
  6. Texas Tech 2007. (about 20 seconds in) for a fumble and runs through like it is just an incomplete pass. Set the tone for the rest of the game. Still get mad when I think about that one.
  7. Because more than just "they can get me to the NFL" is involved with these decisions.
  8. There was an interesting article from around signing day where Michigan coaches mentioned how great it was to be almost full in November/December. The reason was that they could babysit the guys they had and dedicate the extra time they had left to starting relationships with sophomores and juniors they had evaluated in an earlier recruiting cycle. I think that is the key to a lot what you are focusing on.
  9. Usually the trade-off is long arms that make for a good pass blocking left tackle. It isn't too tall if he can play with good knee bend. It is usually far too tall for a DL. They generally get blown off the ball with poor leverage even if they are human planets. Gholston was a freak that he could get away with it at 6'7" and it still cost him in the running game.
  10. You don't necessarily have to let those classes wash through the system. There's no rules against starting underclassmen. We had no qualms with starting Martinez, Turner, Bell, ect. over upperclassmen on the offensive side of the ball, and our team benefited greatly because of it. Why is it such a no-no on defense? Perhaps, with the new coaches, we were putting new offensive schemes in at the time so no upperclassman knew any more than anybody else. Athleticism wins when everyone screws up equally. You did see that on the defensive side with Amukamara and a few others. Defensive players today just missed the window on that side of the ball.
  11. Somebody's scared of the night time atmosphere in the Big House? Or they know it will be pretty damn cold by that point. Endangering your fans for a nighttime atmosphere is just stupid. It's almost like there was a reason the B1G didn't have night games after a certain date until very recently.
  12. I would like either Maryland or Rutgers for the second school in your scenario. I don't mind a competitive imbalance in the league as much as I mind not being exposed to recruits in talented regions. We seem to be spending quite a bit of time in Maryland recruiting these days. It would be easier sledding if we actually had a game there.
  13. In Virginia it is far worse to refuse than to fail. Refusing everything gets you in trouble and your license is usually completely revoked. One year is the standard. Assuming first offense, failing breath or blood will usually get you restricted driving like only to work and back, etc. Generally better to pick the blood test. By the time you get to the station and make it through the line it could be a few hours. Also, should you pick the breathalyzer, you are able to request that another officer be present to witness your test. That can buy you some time.
  14. I teared up a little when I realized that his TD helped the Red team cover the spread.
  15. He's asking if they will have finally put a Bobfather statue in by then. I would put a red balloon in there and tailgating pics of happy people. Have to skip anything about us winning. It would be pretty depressing to be a gopher today if Minnesota had done this 50+ years ago.
  16. As someone who does not live there I am going to guess 403, 405, and 407. Yay math!
  17. Sweet Jesus someone else gets it. +1 to you sir
  18. As a recipient of the Adidas deal for a few years I had always liked the Adidas better. The clothes don't last as long but they were much more comfortable than the Nike stuff I had.
  19. Better get used to bowling too, it's about the only thing he'll have to do in Kentucky! Based on their history I wouldn't get to used to going bowling if I were him...
  20. Any chance they are just not driven to compete by the other lineman? And by that I mean the D-line. We have been weak at DT with the injury bug but for the last few years the DL just hasn't been as productive as we hoped it would be. If steel sharpens steel than what has the O-line actually been cutting into these last few years to make themselves better?
  21. Stole mine. I second that one. Then wouldn't that make the Spring game the most important? I figured someone would go that way. It's not a game. It's a scrimmage. Well It's either 42 days until the next game or 190. The choice(read: my denial) is clear.
  22. Stole mine. I second that one. Then wouldn't that make the Spring game the most important?
