  1. collapse the pocket? would they be allowed to do that? maybe they'll be so good no matter the defensive strategy they'll just knock the offensive linemen over S-U-H does he have any eligibility left? i think he was hurt a lot his first couple years, they should try and get him a medical redshirt

  3. just imagine this guy lined up next to mr valentine, they would take up a lot of space
  4. for me, the wisky loss was much more painful than the 1 seconds loss to Texas in the B12 CCG a few years back. Tom said something when he fired Callahan. He said it wasnt so much if Cally won his last 4 games, it was how they were played. He stated he wanted a team to play competitive, to not give up. He stated if a team plays hard all 4 quarters and still losses, well thats part of football sometimes and he wouldnt hold that against him. I wonder what he think about our 4-5 blowouts over the last 2 years? (granted cally teams were much worse than whats happened with Bo) he probably thinks that 4-5 blowouts over a few years is better than 4-5 blowouts in a row like ol' cally
  5. would you rather see your team get blown out or loose a competitive game they had a shot at winning until the final second? is that really a serious question, who would rather see their team get embarrassed and see the coach with dumb blank stare on his face and all the players with their heads down? come on Shatel i usually like your articles
  6. well the year David put up those numbers he was the only linebacker on the field most of the time, Te'o plays in a 3-4 so he competing for tackles with 3 other linebackers, Te'o plays on a better team playing in the big games as well, I'm not saying David didn't deserve to be there I just don't think you can just compare the numbers, in that case look at luke kuechly's numbers while he was at BC he should have been in new york 3 years in a row
  7. i just wish it didnt take blow out losses to light a fire under this team
  8. nice job, if only we had one or two more All Americans on the offensive line this offense would be great
  9. He's definitely going to be on the 5 year plan. I wouldn't expect much from him anytime soon. as long as he contributes eventually i'll be happy
  10. he'd probable have to redshirt because of his size right? a year with dobson in the weight room and learning the defense hopefully he can contribute of the field as soon as possible as a (rs)freshman
  11. very well said, its nice to read a post like this after all the negative ones after the loss well done sir and thanks for posting
  12. good job moving the ball Beck now just cut down on the fumbles and you would be my hero
  13. does anyone have some insight into how Greg McMullen is progressing? i know he's redshirting but his name doesnt come up as much as some of the other D-linemen, if anyone could share some info i would appreciate it
  14. can we honestly say we're ready to win a national championship? i'm sure every coach pitches this to every recruit, you're the missing piece to the puzzle with you we'll be unstopable
  15. just glanced over compton, fisher and whaley's recruiting profiles i cant believe how high everyone was on them, on person even described whaley as a "must get" this has shown me that no one on here can really guarantee how a recruit is gonna turn out yet all i read is how this guy or that guy who's redshirting are gonna be THE BEST EVER can we just hold some of the judgements until their sophomore years

Same as huKSer and tschu. I ignore the recruiting and don't get all worked up about what recruit committed or what recruit changed their committment.

      cool story Hansel.

It goes both ways. Sometimes they turn out, sometimes they dont. Suh, Barry Turner, Prince were must gets too.

  16. compton, fisher and whaley aren't even that big they're just slow i dont think any of those guys are over 235, the guys next year cant help but be more athletic so hopefully that will be fixed but Bo will probably just start some slow walk on that knows the defense
  17. i would be alright with the occasional 9 win season if it were a down year a Bo would sprinkle in some conference championships and BCS games in the other years sometimes a team has a down year and you go 8-4 or 9-3 but 9 or 10 wins with a bowl loss seams to be Pelini's peak, i hope i'm wrong though
  18. very true and well put the loss Wisconsin feels worse than our last two CCG losses combined because of the way we lost
  19. unless you're in the locker room and around the team on a daily basis i don't think any of us can accurately judge the leadership of the team, everyone wants to win champion ships so i don't think you can say it's that, the biggest difference between then and now is talent having good leaders and the want and drive to succeed can only get you so far if the team doesn't have the ability
  20. Lol exactly! The point is that he went on to win a national championship as a head coach (year 2 nonetheless)... regardless of what would happen after. I can't remember ou ever being throttled by the tune of around 70 points under Bob. We were not throttle by 70 points. It was 40. And yes, Stoops has had some embarrassing losses too. Bo Pelini and Nebraska are not the only coach/program that has really bad days at the office. 2003 Big 12 championship game Kansas St lost 31-7 2004 USC lost 55-14 2007 West Virginia lost 48-28 2009 Texas Tech lost 41-13 2011 Okla St. lost 44-10 No, Stoops has never had one of them days. He's so perfect in every way. What gets me is when our team does play really well and gets a win, it's because the other team sucks. The double standard here would make folks in D.C. rub their head. none of hose teams were 7-5 they were all top 10 teams big difference
  21. no way we get a top 10 recruiting class this year atleast not top 10 by most of the recruiting services, i think nebraska is around 30 something right now on most sites that would be a nearly impossible jump
  22. how long does bo need to make this program turn the corner? does he have a time table or is more of a ten year plan, the days of giving a coach 20 years to win a title are over and i'm starting to get impatient
