You just have to take the right ones. Unfortunately, we seem to have struck out more times than not under Frost. Held's connections are very helpful, but we need to take impact players. I like the idea of the portal because it is the same low risk high reward similar to Juco players. Also, portal players know what it is like at the D1 level going against others in practice. I think 1-2 would be fine down the road to plug holes or add depth.

I would say no to that. He does have a connection here. However, he went behind Gus' back and tried to get the boosters to help him to be HC at Auburn. Would he do the same here? He seems like a guy that wants to stay in the South. Last thing we need is a revolving door of assistants. I think he runs the 4-3 but might be wrong on that. If so, we would be asking our guys to learn an entire new defensive scheme. Big name guy, but I will take a pass on him. We need to look at other areas such as special teams and offense to improve.

If they had called it incomplete on the field I could see it standing. However, I did not see enough to overturn the call in that situation. It was too close and should have ended with the call stands and a touchdown awarded to Ohio State. 

Gotcha @JJ Husker, not trying to have a bring back Bo party or anything but I would love to get 9 wins. Sadly it might be two or three years until we can get that many. Let's just hope this suffering we go through now will pay off. 

@JJ Husker  I get what you are saying, but you can't at least acknowledge you would rather have 9 wins this year and playing in a Florida Bowl game. Look at the program and 9 wins would be huge for us. I would be ecstatic to win the division before we start wanting conference titles. It won't happen for a few years. If we can get back to that these years of suffering would definitely be worth it. 

We also had one on the PAT that got blocked and scored. They called it illegal touching or something like that because we would have had a 2 point conversion. The other was an unsportsmanlike penalty, that is as good as you can in regards to us and penalties the last few years. 

@JJ Husker The only reason they played soft was that they weren't beat up enough. You should know for an SEC team to play well they need to be beaten down a bit. Also, lol at Finebaum saying that was the low point for Tennessee football because it was one game. 

It didn't help that his line gave him virtually no time to throw many times in the game. Some of it he should have been aware of but it helps to have a couple of seconds to throw before guys are right in your face. 

Yea, I definitely see an improvement on both sides of the ball. One thing that killed us last year was the inability to get off the field on 3rd or 4th down when it mattered. I think being one play away can be a year one problem most of the time and it comes with the growing pains. Conversely, the offense needs to make plays more consistently. We can't have a 21 point quarter and 10 points for the remainder of the game. I believe averaging 38 plus a game shows the definition of a consistent offense. We left so many points on the field last year as well in 2018 that it should for sure be more consistent for 2019. 

Very pleased with our experience. You can also get rid of blue/orange when the season is over to pay less money per month. It is a good deal, for BTN either go to a friends house or use a friends login for it.

What a lad Mario is and he has some swag for an older guy. Kids love him and it shows when we have a QB commit until 2020 and are in good standing with a 2021 QB as well.

@Cdog923 I think you mean 2007 instead of 2008? Anyway, we at least won games with them and now we are not winning games. I thought the striped pants were a lot cooler than these uniforms. 

Well I did not know you meant that my bad. Please chill as I did not realize you were referencing stupid mistakes. You said bench them for making mistakes and I would just disagree but you must be mentioning the dumb mistakes. Stupid mistakes such as Roughing the passer, yes you give em a talking to. Scott will never change his mantra though.

The counter to this is that this will lead to players playing afraid of mistakes. Which, goes against Frost's mantra of no fear of failure. 

Life is not always fair, someone always has it worse. Although, nothing can be worse than not having Nebraska football.

Once LeBron leaves Lue will most likely be fired. 

I don't mind Donovan, its Melo who has continually fallen up short when it matters that bothers me. I'm afraid not a lot of teams would be willing to give up young talent for him unless they are desperate for an older star.
