I was bored this morning (as usual) so said my morning prayers, showered and dressed.. too cold to go for a morning walk so I signed in. I started to read the volleyball thread and decided, yeah... $20 a month to support these little ladies and all their efforts, worth it!!

Army and Overs this year.. everyone will be betting unders.. (yes I know, rivalry games should always bet unders and underdogs) this year Army will cover.

Here's a novice idea, why not let the OC have some say into this? Might it be they are not rushing the search because they are first letting the new OC watch some film, maybe analyze the talent.. then maybe make a hire that is fitting for both the HC & OC. Just my 2 cents worth. In the words of a wise one, patience grasshopper!!

$20 might be a little steep... $10 per month is doable and likely more subscriptions too. ($1000 monthly) Then actually sell donation tags from the states local businesses at say $25 per month for single line sponsor name, $50 for random board popups and $100 home screen ads.. Should equate to another $1000 plus monthly... That's $2000+ monthly to sponsor say 5 OL or 4 DL.. I'd subscribe at $10 per month but not anything higher.. got my retirement to consider :p

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I've always heard there's a huge difference between OL in rush happy offenses from OL in pass happy offenses. Might the difference be not so much number of rush attempts but rather line type development? I mean, didn't Frost commit to making both lines bigger and stronger and well for lack of a better word, nastier? Asking, not stating. Feel free to correct me.

Frost and the athletic department just need to get this done. If the UNK coach (think the rumor is Josh Lynn) is the top choice.. Hire him!! (Seems it worked out pretty well for Devany to hire TO from a small school, yes?) Personally, I think to much attention is being given to what should be a mostly private search. Frost's legacy rides on said decision and so let him make or break it by his hand and not by a fan favorite bias!!

I'd love to see Frostie find a coordinator that has charisma along with loyalty to "his" system. I'm tired of hearing all this talk of being so dang multiple. Please find a coach that has a preferred style (run first or pass first, don't care) and be hard nosed and loyal to that style. Part of the reason TO was so successful was his loyalty to the option offense. He ran it, he perfected it, he believed in it and because he was so stinking confident in it the entire team absorbed that confidence. That is what I want. An absolute belief in what the OC knows and a concrete/evident intent to perfect it.

Every man's program except baseball isn't even average. Maybe wrestling is another sport we can smile about. Those 2 are it. The football and basketball programs are the laughing stock of the B1G.

I don't know much in the big picture of football but... seems the best teams are returning to a more power offense. Regardless of how diverse the spread offense is the truth is the truth. Throwing the ball has 3 possible outcomes and 2 are bad. Give any of our recent QB's even an above average O-Line and the results are markedly better. Give me a QB that is athletic, protects the ball, understands the game/game situation and I'll be happy but first, give me an O-Line that doesn't constantly generate procedure penalties, holding penalties, unsportsmanlike penalties.. etc.

Honestly, I liked what Jerry Kill did up in Minnesota before his health issues... I'd like to see that kind of offense scheme or something similar.

The season can't come soon enough.. Not sure how much more losing I can stand to watch. Maybe the B-Ballers will lift my spirits

No vote for me... With little effort I can see a big difference in the players. I'm not a huge AM fan but I am certain he wants to win as much or more than us. Everyone is panicking when the truth is, even the experts were projecting 6 wins "at most" this year.

Is this a MUST win for Frost?? (not yelling with caps, rather emphasizing the question)

AM with zero focus again... horrible first possession and it's "ALL" on him. His head will throw this game for us. He's done this every season. He just seems to stop caring about performance and just goes through the motions in the middle of every season. This is the game where his head appears to be elsewhere. Hope I'm wrong.

I read the forums and follow. I don't like to post my opinions because admittedly I'm a novice fan. I played the game in HS so I understand it at that level. I've been a husker fan all my life so in watching the Skers my knowledge has increased. Still, my opinions have little merit so please read this comment and remember it comes from me. LOL I honestly think some of what ales our favorite university is a prejudice mind set of the conference against us. I don't think its a stretch to think the officiating is part of that bias against us. Sadly I don't believe that will change anytime soon.

I don't expect a merge. Just seems like a waste of energy. I think the SEC isn't done and in the end I think there's going to be some law suits. There's coming a shift in the NCAA structure and the dust is far from settled.

Everyone can talk all they want about a miniscule $50 million paid out by the BIG conference athletics but the "real" reason Nebraska joined the B1G conference is this: (edit: miniscule is obviously the wrong term) 2019 Fiscal Year Research Grants

Totally agree with j-magic... and as proof we need only to consider who is running B1G football operations now. BA is the appointed tool because he's proven he wants to be the tool. Warren is only a mouthpiece for the corporation.

No, it's not. Ryan Day, in his interview, if you listened to it one can easily see the short comings of frost's current scheme. Bubble screens and tempo are not the way of the future. I think that's what Day said.

DONU also has many sexual misconduct allegations that have been swept under the rug. Granted, not by an administrator but wrong is wrong. I'm glad current & former players, current/former victims, current/former family members are now not shunned for coming forth but actually encouraged. As someone already stated, all programs have skeletons in the closets and every coach (including TO) do as well. Just think back to Barry Switzer.

We all know the reasons we were placed in arky's regional and not a single reason was justifiable. The NCAA selection committee literally admitted the reason was "just because".
