Doc is a good DEFENSIVE coach but has no idea how to run an effective offense. The only thing about having a good defense is that you hang close in the majority of the games. He'll never be able to win enough basketball games to get into the NCAA tournament until he puts together a new offense. Doc will have a chance to improve the program greatly in a couple years. He has 4 pretty solid recruits coming in this year except that they are ALL guards. If he can recruit 2 solid big men for the following year then Nebraska could be in good shape in basketball for quite a while. Unfortunately, this year is likely going to be very brutal for Nebraska basketball in its first year in the BIG 10. Diaz is weak and injured. Almeida will likely be out of shape again. Ubel has zero post game. No experience at point guard.

big ern, do you glitch? when i was number one on last gen (for three consectuive years from 06-08..yes id beat ppl LEGITELY online with the worst team on the game) i was about the only person out of the top 10 that didnt glitch for free win. I know youre not number one on ps3 and not sure about 360 but i could easily look it up...ive played about 100 games and am already in top 100 but i quit playing it, beat most o the "top" guys.

Even Pelini, who played at tOSU and I would say was probably his "dream job", wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot stick now. With the hammering they are going to get, it will be awhile before they are relevant again, and the coach who takes over will have his hands tied. It's gonna be the worst thing that's happened to a football program since SMU.

I haven't read any post in this thread, but it is pretty simple. Would you rather make millions of dollars throwing a white ball at a glove, or throw a brown ball while 11 300 pound dudes chase you for potentially no money and risk serious injury.

-Carnes looks like he'll be a solid qb but doesn't appear to be the best option this year if Martinez is healthy. -I would still take Carnes over Cody this year. We really just need to do whatever it was we did in the Oklahoma St game last year offensively. End of story.

Yea. Lets dog a school because they want to be different. Bosie St and Oregon have crazy fields and uniforms and they are some of the top programs in the country.

The NCAA basketball season isn't even officially over and our best 3 point shooter has already left the team. Wouldn't expect any less from Doc.
