  1. Give Gordon and Wisconsin credit but not too much. Bowling Greens effort and tackling is pathetic.

  2. This K-State QB is clutch guys. Good football player. Also, how many Locketts are there? Geez it seems like there's been a Lockett on K-State roster for 25 seasons.

  5. I respect, almost envy Georgia. They are down 24-13 at half, they open up the second half , they don't panic, they go to their bread and butter. The run game. They commit to power run game and they impose their will. Touchdown Georgia, Gurley right up the gut.

      Count 'Bility

Its common sense football. Whole half to go and they give the ball to their star. I crave the days we do the same.

      True2tRA

      No defense though.

I'm really enjoying this game either way. Some real talent on these teams. Well coached too.

  6. Wyoming is 2-0. They have Oregon this weekend. Then FAU, and Michigan St. the following game. Good luck to them and I'll be rooting for the upset of Oregon and MSU. Gonna be kinda cool to see what they can do against FAU.

    1. The Nebraskan Assassin

      The Nebraskan Assassin

I bet on them to cover the spread against Oregon. Hard to bet against them; I'm sure they're well-disciplined.

Craig Bohl leaves nebraska, builds and sustains ND powerhouse, goes to Wyoming, they become the type of team formally knows as BCS buster, then pulls a Bobfather, and comes to Nebraska and rebuilds a dynasty!

(FYI I didnt like his as a coordinator at UNL)

  7. Some of the leaders on this team are stepping up and taking ownership you guys. Especially Mitchell and Abdullah. I just hope their teammates respect them enough to listen.

They all damn well better listen. If they are gonna be motivators the rest the team needs to buy into what they are selling. We need that. We need guys like that to push them, push themselves. Hope its the kick in the arse we need.

      Creighton Duke

What are the legends on the team doing, though?

    4. True2tRA

      True2tRA

I'm hoping we find out Creighton Duke. I agree though. We've heard enough talk out of this program. Either these guys care about what they're doing or they don't. Don't play for us fans, play for yourselves and your teammates. Maybe have some pride in what you're doing?

  8. Whew! Big Ten boy Roby comes through. Nice play young man. GO BRONCOS!

When I watched your offense in the first half I just think about what could have been had the Patriots landed Emmanuel Sanders in either of the last two years.

      Peyton Manning is GOAT.

Also, Andrew Luck is gonna be pretty special. That was a great game!

  9. Guys this is brilliant. I vote this becomes a weekly thing if Excel could do it. It really levels things out. http://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/71338-feeling-down-enjoy-these-delicious-melts-from-across-cfb/

  10. Can we get to the bottom of why this team still can't execute what the coaches are asking them to do? Why? Especially on the offensive and defensive line.

FAU also seemed to abandon the misdirection and screen game that killed us in that first drive. I'm not sure if it was our defense recovering, or FAU pulling a Beck. (Oh, that works?? Save that for another game!)

    4. True2tRA

      True2tRA

Yea dudeguyy. I'm not for blaming the players, I never have been. The lack of experience and youth of the team excuses don't apply anymore either. That just bullsh#t.

I was at that game Count, I guess I don't remember. Either way, that play seems like it is exactly the type of play Armstrong could really create some things off of.

    4. Count 'Bility

      Count 'Bility

When we did it which a goid 3-4 times the pass was more of a screenish flat pass to bell. Same concept though.

  14. I hope that rule about spiking the ball with under 3 seconds on the clock doesn't come around to bite us this season. It's a rule we obviously weren't familiar with.

No, it was in place last season.

    3. True2tRA

      True2tRA

Yea, the rule has been in place for one season, so I guess depending on your definition of 'old' you would say its not a new thing. Regardless, I'm glad we found out about that one at halftime of the FAU game. We clearly were not educated on that one.

  20. I love watching Spurrier squirm. Yes! Listen to him panic in that halftime interview. Priceless.

  21. The Jerry Murtaugh interview on The Legends Radio Show today was awesome. I love listening to those old school Huskers talk football.

  22. In my humble opinion, if you're not excited about Husker football the you're what I call a fair weather fan and I don't want to hear from you again when we are doing well and all of a sudden you're all jacked up again.

If you are not a fan, but felt compelled to come to Huskerboard so that other fans knew you weren't a Husker fan. I got bad news for you... YOU ARE A HUSKER FAN... you are just an attention seeking Husker fan for reasons known only to you.

    4. True2tRA

      True2tRA

It's not really about better fan or not. I was just using the definition of the term 'fair weather fan' and it's pretty self explanatory. Nothing more, nothing less. No butthurt needed.

  23. Do many of you notice that this current group of players just seem to look the part more than in years past? Working harder? Recruiting? Maybe a bit of both. Either way, it seems these guys look ready to play at this level.

      zoogs

I'm gonna say recruiting. We have more depth and more competitive bodies. A lot of youth is getting in the mix right away. It's great and raises the level of the team.

Bo's a pretty savvy X's and O's guy, so I think you give him the right dudes to work with, he'll weave some gold. Should be a fun year if he can stay on target and tune out the media criticism.

    3. Count 'Bility

      Count 'Bility

Ive aleays thought talent entails much more than bench maxes and 40 times. Ut includes tjings like mentality and knowledge. When we say we lacked some talent in the recent past, its more than raw skill. There has to be a knack for the game.

    4. True2tRA

      True2tRA

Count, I completely agree. I think that was part of how we used to always hear Bo talk about guys "making plays" when the opportunity came. We lacked guys that had that football instinct.

  24. Will North Dakota St. Beat Iowa St.? And will Wisconsin beat LSU? If Wisconsin beats LSU, do you believe they are the best in the West?
