  1. I'm surprised and disappointed that we haven't been after this kid. He's a juco transfer from Alabama, down at Butler (KS). My nephew plays with him, and says he's the best athlete he's played with (which isn't a light statement: he was an invite to the Team USA camp last year, and has camped with the likes of Bandaras). Big and fast and having watched him 10 or so games this year, he's got a nose for the ball, not unlike Lavonte David. 6'3, 215 http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Tyler-Hayes-156124 http://sports.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/player-Tyler-Hayes-116782
  2. Talked to my nephew about him; he's a fan. My nephew goes to Butler, and they played Dodge the first game of the year. He said that Clinkscales has a good motor and plays hard, and hopes that Nebraska gets him.
  3. Talked to my nephew about him (my nephew plays down at Butler) and he had some pretty big praise for Clinkscales. Says he play hard, was tough to block, and is what they're O-line keyed on.
  4. He's the #1 Juco DT, and #6 Juco overall. He has offers from Bama, Georgia, and Oregon. We offered him this week. My nephew played against him earlier this year; I'll chat with him and find out what he knows.
  5. Holy crap, Oregon is terrible at actual football.

There's no such thing as actual football anymore.

  6. Everyone needs to take a 24 hour moratorium on everything that's gonna happen with the future of the program. Enjoy the win.

  7. I don't know which is better for the point: your post, or your signature GIF.
  8. With the exception of missing our best lineman, you are correct.
  9. I hope Thad Randle starts. We need him badly. I like it. Thad Randle for Heisman
  10. I think you're taking it a little too far. Relax a bit, and let's have a rational discussion. Have a scotch and a cigar, if you need to.
  11. Tressel is very interesting. The thing that bothers me more than his show-cause is the fact that he's 60. That could be 5 years here, if successful, it could be 15. Hypothetically, what it could do is give Frost more time to season and possibly be the next hire when Tressel would leave. Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner. Tressel gets us back on the map, winning, and instills a culture here. He sticks around for 5-6 years, wins "something", and then when he retires, our HC prospects are a lot more fruitful than they would be right now. It even gives us the possibility of hiring a proven Scott Frost, that way we don't have to experiment with him as first time HC. Oh man, if that happens.....imagine the first Nebraska/OSU game.
  12. I can absolutely use it. - Who is responsible for the make up of each team? Who "bought the groceries"? - That QB that had "the game of his life" is going to be a first rounder in April. He would've been the first QB taken last April. - Richt made adjustments at halftime, something Bo has shown to be rarely able to do. Also, Frost has been a coordinator for a year, yes. How many years has Smart been a coordinator without Saban pulling his strings? I am not saying Richt isn't responsible. I am saying that Richt with as much talent as he has every single year should be able to beat a team that didn't have a single kid get taken in the first round by more than 10 points. He would have lost to us has Ameer held the ball. Purely stupid to honestly think Richt is an improvement. Applying your logic, how long as Frost even been an offensive assistant without Chip Kelly or Helfrich there? In terms of Frost vs. Smart, they have the same amount of HC experience, which is a gigantic sticking point with a lot of people. That's the point. Has Smart been an assistant longer than Frost? Yes, but that's partially due to Frost playing in the NFL. I think both are going to be great HCs, but they're at the same position in terms of their experience. That's the point I'm trying to make. You're completely discounting the talent we have on this team. We do have talented players. We had talented players last year. It's a testament to the talent of last year's team that we played with (and were beating) Georgia for 2.5 quarters last year. It's not going to take much to get this team over the hump. But.... they did beat us by more than 10. 14, to be exact. This after Richt made adjustments and got his team in the proper position to beat us. As to you're point about Richt not being an improvement over Bo....he's got 2 conference championships, and 6 division titles in the SEC. Bo has 0 conference titles and 3 division titles, in 2 pretty watered-down conferences. Like I said before, if Bo is shown the door, and we have an opportunity to get Richt, and we don't explore it, it would be a colossal mistake.

As long as Thad Randle is in the starting lineup, we will be fine.

  16. I'm not getting the hate in this thread. Richt straight-up beat Bo last year. He was 1 play away from having his team in the National Title game last year. He's coached in, and been successful in, the toughest conference that college football has ever seen. Sure, he has proximity to recruits. You know who else is nearby? Florida, Florida State, Alabama, South Carolina, Clemson, etc; not to mention, pretty much everyone recruits, or tries to recruit, Georgia. The thing that gets me is that the big argument against Frost is that he's never been a HC. Neither has Kirby Smart. I think both of those guys are going to be fantastic head coaches, but the main argument I've heard against both is that "we don't want another guy learning on the job". Now, we're willing to hypothetically throw away a SUCCESSFUL SEC-level coach because his team (which has been destroyed by injuries this year) lost to Vandy and Missouri? I'm just not seeing it, guys. If the dominoes fall this way, and we have a shot at getting Richt, it would be colossally, monumentally idiotic not to pursue him.

It's a god damn joke-treating our pass game as an extension of the run game. Wanna run it? Give it to Abdullah or get back to the zone read. We arent the f'ing Broncos or Patriot with Manning/Brady. I'm so pissed right now. Win or lose, this game has been a total failure.

This...and Thor 2 getting good reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. And the bad reviews are somewhat suspect--pretty much reduced Loki = bad movie in their eyes.
