  1. I can't say I'm too excited about this hire but oh well. Cubs to announce new manager on Thursday... http://espn.go.com/chicago/mlb/story/_/id/9937521/rick-renteria-hired-chicago-cubs-manager

      Foppa

Doesn't matter. It's the cubs. They could have an all-star roster and still not do anything

      PaulCrewe

Knew deep down it was gonna be someone tied to the Padres organization because of Hoyer

  2. I can't wait for the game tomorrow. Drinking, eating, football and PS3 today and the Huskers and Hawkeyes tomorrow. Yes.

  3. I didn't even realize Mark Mangino was Iowa State's offensive coordinator. He was until today that is. He got the mid season axe.

ISU's offense isn't that bad really. Bet it was personal issues with him and Rhoads.

      They stink on defense.

    3. Lyons in the Sea of Red.

Lyons in the Sea of Red.

They have been statistically better with him as OC. They're defense is the issue

  4. I feel like a guy who got set up on a blind date with a hottie only to have Rosie O'Donnell show up instead.

  5. I have something here for you. Your father wanted you to have this when you were old enough, but your uncle wouldn't allow it. Your father's light saber. This is the weapon of a Jedi Knight. Not as clumsy or random as a blaster, an elegant weapon for a more civilized age. http://boston.cbslocal.com/2013/09/26/harvard-mit-scientists-create-real-lightsaber/

  6. I just listened to Barry Manilow's 'I Write the Songs' IN ITS ENTIRETY. Yeah don't ask lol...

  7. I just re-watched Benji the espn 30 for 30 doc again on netflix. Still my all time favorite 30 for 30.

They are all pretty damn great. I don't think I've watched that one though. I'll check it out.

The new one about the NY Islanders should be pretty cool, even if you're not a hockey fan. It's directed by Kevin Connoly, also known as 'E' from the TV show 'Entourage'. Looking forward to it.

I saw that one Foppa and it is pretty good.

  8. I like watching the Bengals. I like their running game especially when Rex gets some touches and their defense ain't too shabby.

  11. I really wish that going into our final ever Big 12 game/championship game we at least had some sort of offense that we could rely on. I am sick and tired of putting almost all of our hopes on our defense especially in a big game such as this. An ineffective offense, Beebe-Gate, the rumours. In some ways I am just ready for this season to be over with and to just start over fresh in the Big 10. Until then I just hope we win tomorrow night.

    1. RedNLeader

      RedNLeader

yes would love to see our offense go out their tomorrow and perform well...We have the talent to do so!!

  12. I swear that every game Ed Cunningham calls there is a targeting call. Gheesh.

    1. huKSer

      huKSer

Every game Ed calls a senior running back skips a bowl game

  13. I think Nathan Gerry is going to be a really good safety for us. Looking forward to watching him this year.

Will start out behind Alexander (probably) but I think he steals more and more snaps from Cooper as the year goes on.

    3. True2tRA

      True2tRA

Really? Didn't see that coming. I really thought Cooper would be in for a big time season, not losing snaps to a backup.

    4. Saunders

      Saunders

Cooper is the most experienced guy on D and one of the leaders. I doubt Gerry steals snaps. But, he could be in line to take over his spot in '15.

  14. I thought the new 30 for 30 the Book of Manning was pretty good. Narrated by John Goodman. Worth the watch if you get the chance.

    1. ColoradoHusk

      ColoradoHusk

I just watched it last night. It is worth the watch. I liked how it focused on Archie, rather than Peyton & Eli. Cool stuff about Cooper, too.

    2. suh_fan93

      suh_fan93

Agreed. Had no idea about the Cooper injury also.

  15. I'll be honest, I can't say that wearing sports jerseys is a part of my everyday wardrobe but I'm getting ready to run to the store right now and I am wearing my Urlacher jersey with pride as I type this. Packer fans better move out of my way!

  16. I'm not gonna lie. I'm pissed at Bo. Just for being stupid if anything else. In this day and age of everything being tape recorded or caught on video etc. At the same time I do feel the guy is passionate about winning and passionate about his players and staff. Allright Bo. Let's move forward. As a fan I'm willing to put all of this crap behind and go with the attitude and words you spoke at your press conference this morning. Mad at you yes. Behind you. Yes.... Let...

      suh_fan93

Let's move forward and learn something from all of this.

I watched Bo's press conference from this morning and it actually was one of more enlightening and positive press conference's I've ever seen from the guy. Saying he wants the players to have 'fun' again. Watch his entire presser from this morning if you can. (Omaha.com)

I'm behind you Pelini. Let's do this...

      CornHOLIO

The BCS came AFTER the Bowls..You're probably too young to remember what it was like before the Big10/Pac joined "the Aliance" allowing Michigan to hide from us in the '97 Rose Bowl.

I'm not even sure that the best team would've won that, and a playoff wouldn't guarantee those two would even meet.

    3. CornHOLIO

      CornHOLIO

The BCS however gives us a better chance to have that meeting in the future.

    4. fearandloathing

      fearandloathing

@suh_fan94--Reading comprehension...? WTF are you talking about? You said that March Madness is "more exciting" (better) than bowl season. Numerous people have refuted your statement (including myself) and you continue to stand by it. Maybe you should think about what you're arguing and at least have some facts to reinforce it. How many 30+ point bowl games were there? Are you just saying things or do you actually have facts to back your statements up?

  18. If we can get past Michigan St. Nebraska has a real good chance at winning the Big 10 tournament. Come on ladies.

If they win we play Iowa!

  19. Illinois gave #16 Washington a ballgame only losing by 10 points. It's weird to think that this might actually be a battle for us in 2 weeks. Is this real life?

Good point. Still never thought I'd see the day.

    3. TonyStalloni

      TonyStalloni

One of the points I remember when we joined the Big 10 was the talent spread wasn't as drastic as it was in the Big 12. Almost every year a favored team was upset by an underdog. I don't think Illinois has much quality depth but they have a decent Qb and a few good athletes.

This could be a huge money game for gamblers. If that line is where I think it could be (NU-14 or so), take NU

  20. Indiana beat Misery lol.

  21. It's pretty sad when these girls in the class C2 championship can make more free throw in crunch time than our men's basketball team can. 15-17 from the line for the state champion Homer Knights!

  22. It's Tebow time! Tim Tebow to get first start tomorrow against the Raiders.

    1. corncraze

      corncraze

I hope he just gets destroyed! Sorry but being a Chiefs fan from Colorado kinda cripples any hopes of mine for Tebow to be successful

    2. suh_fan93

      suh_fan93

Believe it or not I'm actually pulling for him. Tebow's criticism I feel anyway was/is unjustified. There are some true arrogant/jerk athletes out there. He is not one of them. I hope he does well.

  23. Jabari Parker of Duke back in town tonight to take on Kansas. Michigan State and Kentucky in a #1 vs #2 matchup. Heckuva night for basketball.

A lot of talk about Randle, Parker, and Wiggins. I think someone else is going to have their coming-out party. #FreeRodneyHood

      suh_fan93

Even game right until the end when Kansas went on that run at just the right time. I thought Duke sort of lost the game themselves though! Turnovers primarily at the end and rushed shots I thought all game long did them in.
