Tickets were getting pretty cheap in the days before the NW game. I wouldn't be surprised if there are cheap tickets to be found a couple days before the Iowa game ... if Iowa fans haven't grabbed them all.

Yeah, I saw that. My buddy said he had free tickets to NW offered to him. I'm gonna wait it out but never hurts to have tickets in hand before coming into town. Especially given I'm coming in from Seattle.

I think everyone is supportive of the program, and most supportive of the players. This recruit is smart. He committed to the school and the program. Not the coaches. If your good enough and work hard you'll play no matter who the coach is(excluding Cavanaugh of course).

Like it or not, most recruits commit to the coach. He's the face of the program, for them. He's most likely the one that will be leading them for the duration of their time at the school. The program (including the fans) is still a huge selling point. What's dangerous is one side of that equation is dissatisfied with the other and begins to crap on them to players or recruits. We've seen too much of that the last few years and I hope that garbage goes away and never comes back.

I'd say you are stretching things by noting Shula's one good season. That team didn't do squat before or after. Saban inherited a team that went 6-7 the year before.

...Which ironically also just so happened to occur only ONE year after Mike Shula went 6-6 in his last year at Alabama.

What NUance said. I was swamped with bills earlier this year, seemed like I couldn't save a thing.. now I'm slowly building up my savings. My personal advice is to have an automatic transfer to a savings account setup. That way you never see the money to spend it in the first place. Indo 200 bucks a week, minimum right now.

My wife HATES thaat I spend so much on paying off our credit cards. Doesn't grasp that minimum payments do jack squat.
