Hard to argue. On strength an shear will he might be.

  2. The guys had 5 losing seasons. In my opinion, today just re-emphasized my thoughts that in today's college football, the line between average/good/great is pretty small. Michigan and Penn State are both average teams, but they almost and did beat two very good teams. Mizzou was terrible last year, and riddled with injuries, and now they could possibly play in the MNC if things shake their way. Pinkel very easily could have (and probably should have) been fired after a couple seasons, and look where he's at now. I really think if we stay the course with Bo, we will have our time. Perspective is needed here. Consider that when pinkel came to Missouri, the tigers had been to 2 bowls in 18 years. So the leaseh on losing seasons would be a little longer. Firing him last year would have been short sighted and stupid. You are right however that sometimes it's worth sticking with a coach. But sometimes when there is little to no change or growth you need to make a decision Agreed, but I know some Mizzou fans have been playing the "not getting better, getting worse card" about every year since 04. Anyway, good luck Fro Daddy, be rooting for the Tigers in the title game. Thanks. And I don't doubt our fans. Like you mentioned before, some said last year he should have been gone. Its easy to forget just how bad we were and just how much better we are now. Sometimes its easy to get caught up in the extras and loss sight of perspective This
  3. Well his holiness has spoken, so anyone who disagrees is blaspheming.
  4. Well I hear Evan Williams is a real darkhouse candidate as well.

  6. I believe I said this earlier, but it's going to be whoever has the better grasp of the offense. Armstrong isn't super accurate at this point, but his biggest problem is reading the defense and making throws in conjuncture with what the wideouts are seeing. That's not really a big deal for a freshman, but he has to put tons of work in in the film room, because he has the ability. I really don't like Stanton's arm, and I'm curious to see how his running style will translate to this level (Top end-Tebow, Low end-Cody Green). If you put a gun to my head I'd say Armstrong at the start, but with JS hot on his heels. It's really a great situation for us. As they say, iron sharpens iron, and the intense competition between the two will improve them both.
  7. He loses credibility in my book if he fires a guy he just said is safe 3 days prior.
  8. ESPN shedding some tears and plotting ways to get an SEC team in the NC. SMDH

I hope an SEC team is in the NC. They'll give them more of a fight than OSU will that's for sure. Even with the loss today I still think the two best teams are Bama and FSU.

      husker07

Oh I agree completely. Bama and FSU are clearly top 2, and if you're rooting for a good game that's what you want. However, I want there to be 0% chance an SEC team wins 8 years in row.

The teams in the championship game are the teams that have earned it with what they have done - not the teams that we arbitrarily think are the best (especially since we don't ever know anything).

  10. Bama lucked out today. Now they can avoid the beatdown FSU would have given them.

They would have given FSU a better game than OSU will. Can't wait for the playoff's to take effect.

I agree Suh fan. Playoffs should be awesome. Maybe Nebraska gets in them someday.

  11. Give Bo one more year. I think everyone needs to step back from the ledge, but they're entitled to their opinion. Lots of injuries this year, and still 8(9?) wins. It's hard to win in college football, and Bo has proven he can do it consistently. Lots of potential for next year, so I say stay the course.

"lose" was an understandable faux pas considering you were talking about Pelini's record.

Yeah, it was really well put together. Grantland does some good work.

  13. I hear ya and I agree. Though this isn't the first time they've sent Ridley to the bench for fumbles. It hasn't proved too effective.
  14. Belichick dropping the hammer. Don't think I'd be for benching AA even with his fumbles though.
  15. Go watch some AA highlights then this. It's really creepy how similar they are. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DcHoF0Gjao
  16. So far the Colquitt Bowl has lived up to expectations.

  17. If you had told me TA would throw for 2 tds with only 1 int and Ameer would rush for 120, I'd say we would win handily. I guess 5 turnovers will do that to ya.

We made Sparty look bad, but at the end of the day we didn't get out of our own way.

NUance: It's because it's not like this is the first game the coaches have lost with one or more phases of the game looking completely inept. We win against two sh#t teams in a row and suddenly people forget where this program is in the scheme of things. We can't field a punt. Changes must be made.

Ball security falls on the coaches. Maybe not in fluke, isolated incidents. But that's not the case here. It's a full blown pattern spanning several years.

  18. Faux Bo Pelini: "That heroes kid sure is all over the field tonight." Classic

  19. Really sh**ty deal. I thought Darlington was an absolute gem and was really excited to see him compete for the starting gig. Right now, I honestly hope he hangs it up.
  20. Are you talking about a 3rd brother ? Since Drake is already a redshirt DB. What am I missing ? Little brother, Keaton. WHAT!!! WOOOHOOO BRING ON K MAGIC!!!! I don't think he's much of a ball player.
  21. Don't know the exact prognosis on his injury, but it would be fabulous if he could return and play well in the bowl game (Rose Bowl?). The guy deserves to go out right.
  22. What's Carter's catch/target ratio? Probably pretty bad. If I recall, he's been open several times and either couldn't get to it or dropped it. Those near misses make me wonder if he's not getting to the right spot on time. He's got nice potential though and is improving as a blocker.
  23. What does Ndamukong Suh have against Jay Cutler lol?

  24. Poor Gardner has been completely ruined as a qb. He's so uncomfortable back there it's sad.
