walksalone
T Mart with a strong comeback, 5 TD's in the air The coaching staff with a strong 2nd half adjustment Ron Franklin is ponderous, f'n ponderous Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
T Mart got coached up, looked settled against a weak defense, but much better. Defense was horrendous, the front 4 got pushed around all day and we still missed about 15-20 tackles. This D is nowhere near as good as last year. Quote Link to comment
walksalone
Also, is it just me, or were we rushing 4 guys the majority of the time? Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Didn't get to watch it as I don't have Gameplan, but it sounded like our defense missed a ton of tackles and our front four didn't do their jobs. Hate to say it, they just aren't that good. Quote Link to comment
aholla3
Taylor Martinez can throw the ball when given time. Our run defense needs to get a lot better. Our team can rebound well from a loss, hopefully this will be the only time the rest of the year we have to do that. Quote Link to comment
cornhuskers4ever
Scoreboard. No matter how ugly, a win is a win. Quote Link to comment
captain obvious
Too many yards up the gut. YAC were ridiculous, OSU backs fell forward for positive yards on every carry. And once again, the missed tackles piled up. I'm anxiously watching this Mizzou game tonight. If we're in for another shootout next week, it could be trouble. Hopefully MU doesn't have the running game that OSU does. I bet Prince bounces back next week. Blackmon is just a beast. It's tough to stop those jump balls. It would have helped to get some damn pressure on Weeden. Quote Link to comment
TheCheshireCat
Martinez can pass. Pass blocking is awesome. Run blocking is not. Defense has some work to do for next week. Quote Link to comment
husk3rf8n
What we learned today... 1. T-Mart can throw just fine if he has time. 2. The Husker offense can be dynamic when they catch the damn ball. 3. Prince is not a shutdown CB. (But still a good one) 4. Our DL can be run on. 5. We still need to find a pass rush. 6. Our secondary is very good overall but no one can cover forever. (see # 5) 7. Paul is always going to be that guy. Catch a couple, drop a couple. 8. Hagg is a liability when he lines up as an actual corner. 9. Drives are a lot more successful when you're not having to overcome penalties all the time. 10. The Big Red is 6-1!! Quote Link to comment
Malth
Martinez still needs to work on his passing, you have to give the receivers a lot of credit for making some damn good catches from iffy passes. Quote Link to comment
whateveritis1224
Hagg's good, just as long as he doesn't have to cover streaks, has a real hard time finding the ball in that position. Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
Nebraska's run defense is painful to watch. They need to make a change. I don't know what. But something. At a big linebacker. That's all I've got. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
They just added a big linebacker. The loss of Compton cannot be understated. He wasn't great last year, but he was a big recruit and he has a year of coaching up, plus he got to watch Dillard show him how it's done. Losing Compton and Fisher in camp really, really sucked, no matter how well David has played. If Compton starts to show some of that promise we recruited him for, and he gets his head in the game (which will come with more game time), I think our run D will be fine. Quote Link to comment
redout22
Passing offense was steller Our D in general was not T-Mart can throw in the pocket Niles can respond to adversity Kyler Reed is a great deep threat Quote Link to comment
Chucktown Husker
Prince needed to get PI on that long play. He got beat, but recovered pretty well. I'd rather take a 15 yd PI than an 80 yd TD. Quote Link to comment
