Fuzzy
No, its the trash talking during our down years that gives me a fiery personality against the Tigers. But that is nowhere near the hatred I have for the Longhorns. Quote Link to comment
Tora! Tora! Tora!
"The nickname "Tigers," given to Mizzou's athletic teams, traces its origin to the Civil War period. At that time, plundering guerilla bands habitually raided small towns, and Columbia people constantly feared an attack. Such organizations as temporary "home guards" and vigilance companies banded together to fight off any possible forays. The town's preparedness discouraged any guerilla activity and the protecting organization began to disband in 1854. However, it was rumored that a guerilla band, led by the notorious Bill Anderson, intended to sack the town. Quickly organized was an armed guard of Columbia citizens, who built a blockhouse and fortified the old courthouse in the center of town. This company was called "The Missouri Tigers." The marauders never came. The reputation of the intrepid "Tigers" presumably traveled abroad, and Anderson's gang detoured around Columbia. Soon after Missouri's first football team was organized in 1890, the athletic committee adopted the nickname "Tiger" in official recognition of those Civil War defenders." Now you'll just have to hate us because we're a bunch of jhort wearing, meth-addicted douchebags. Don't stereotype. I for one have never worn jhorts. Quote Link to comment

HuskerBCS
Ive got 2 better words.... Ricky Thenarse or Can't Tackle or Can't Stop The Run....oh wait thats more than 2 words....oh well. Quote Link to comment
Fuzzy
I can't wait until Thenarse leaves and we get someone else to take his spot. I saw Bo over on the sideline talking to him in an angry face after Okie State put the first 3 points on the board. Probably because he missed 3 tackles on that drive. But some people were probably shocked that P.J. Smith didn't come down with the INT. Quote Link to comment
Chaddyboxer
Hey, Thenarse is going through some rough times. Give the kid a break. Stay positive...he may bounce back and play much better. Quote Link to comment
Blaze1up
We use the play selections from last week and we will be alright. Playaction passes on 1st down, nice. Pass to the FB on the goal-line for a TD, beautiful. Give the ball to the TE, well done. Rex + Helu = Run that pigskin ! Quote Link to comment
JOEY
I can't wait to send Missouri home with their tails between their legs. The worst day as a husker is better than the best day of being a Tiger. Quote Link to comment
Sparker
Did I miss the News that Missouri is magically a better team than Nebraska? The same team that should have lost to San Diego State? We could have lost to South Dakota State. I think I'd rather almost lose to San Diego. Quote Link to comment

Sorry, but for using a Danny Hawkins quote and paraphrasing it to sound like something positive for Nebraska should result in a half day ban, suspension, something. C'mon JOEY you/we're better than that. Talk about a buzzkill to your opening sentence. J/K ya My two words: Leperchaun Shenanigans Quote Link to comment
