darkhorse85
I am sorry, but this needed to be addressed TODAY. The cat is out of the damn bag. They recruits should have been in the know otherwise it kinda goes against everything Bo stresses when it comes to recruiting. Being open, straight forward, and being sure of a commitment. This is utter BS. Maybe Bo has been honest with the recruits and has just asked/trusted them not to come out with any of this. Remember a few weeks ago Jamal Turner slipped up and released some stuff about Beck being the new OC. All of our recruits said that thet loved how honest they were with them. Maybe they already know... That is my point. They should know and now it should be addressed. EVERYONE wants to know about the coaching situation not what Bo feels about the class in which he wouldn't comment on individual recruits. It is BS that it has been announced publicly by another HEAD COACH, and Bo can't divulge a thing and adamently denies it. That is the BS He's not exactly denying anything. He's being careful, that's the way I see it. 1 Quote Link to comment
knapplc
So Bo gets himself in trouble AGAIN . . . when it is absolutely unnecessary to do so. Bo needs to hire someone who can save him from himself. Exactly. He's like a blind man walking through a mine field, refusing guidance. Boom. Boom. Boom. Stupid. 1 Quote Link to comment

He said he would address it at a later time, i dont see what else he needs to say. Props for the journalists doing there jobs but Bo cant comment on it right now. Its pretty simple. The press confrence was to focus on the recruits and he did as good of job as he could to keep it on track. Quote Link to comment

On one hand I feel sort of sorry for him . . . on the other hand it's highly annoying. Bo, the world, reporters, and Nebraska fans . . . are not out to get you. Settle. Settle. Quote Link to comment

Hard to do that and then preach integrity, isn't it? If he would have stuck with "no comment" it is a non-issue. That's what I mean by getting himself in trouble unnecessarily. 1 Quote Link to comment

Most of the state knows about this. Kevin Wilson said it and it was in no way malicious. But to come out and deny this has happened is ludacris. Bo made himself look fairly foolish. knapplc said it right, you could put one bomb in that mine field and Bo would find it. Quote Link to comment

C N Red
I actually believe Bo. I don't think anyone has actually been hired or fired. Now, have they signed something that says they WILL be hired so they can leave school they are at without having to worry, probably. However, actually hired and getting paid probably not. And I trully believe NOBODY has been fired. I think it could come to that but I think staff is getting chances to find other jobs and just move on or in the end resign. Quote Link to comment

It is absurd to pretend that the only thing that should be talked about at this time is the recruiting class, which Bo wasn't even going to get specific with in the first place. We're making major changes to our coaching staff, and Bo wants to pretend we're only doing some mini chit-chat about recruits. It's like putting a bow on a birthday present when you just cut an artery. Let's address the important things first, huh? And when the cat's out of the bag, DO NOT LIE to us about what's going on. Bo is making it quite clear that he views his relationship with the press and the fans as a confrontation, not as a cooperative effort. We all have our roles in this thing, and acting like he's doing this alone is completely wrong. Shutting out your shareholders is a pretty poor way to run a public company. That's what Bo is doing. Dumb. 2 Quote Link to comment

Hunter94
look,i don't know why, after his (Bo)handling things in secrecy in the past, this should be a big shock to anyone?? i don't have a list, but players were dismissed in the past by Pelini with little or no details as to why...this is no different, the guy doesn't shoot straight, like it or not, his past performance is to some degree tyrannical and secretive, it is who he is and it is how he chooses to run the program. i don't think Dr.Tom agrees, but this should solidify exactly who is running the NU football program....get used to it. 1 Quote Link to comment

Roark
Wow, someone had the balls to ask the Corey Raymond question. And Bo has the BALLS to say he hasn't hired anyone lately or made any staff changes. Even tried to suggest it has to do with the defensive staff opening (LBs) he's had for a while. Does Bo not realize what Tom Wilson said? This is starting to get embarrassing. Agreed. Bo seems to be getting into a rhythm with misleading the public during these pressers. If he doesn't want to be forthcoming about information he needs to say "no comment" and be done with it. Denying the Martinez-locker-room-phone call when Casey Martinez confirms it via e-mail, the Zac Lee injury conspiracy debacle and now this doesn't help his reputation as being a trustworthy individual... Simply being completely open and spilling the beans outright (though not his style) would be less damaging than this whole mess... Replacing Sanders with Raymond is a whole other conversation (facepalm). Quote Link to comment
