Why I think this will be the season from hell for Nebraska.

Here's a Nebraska offensive season preview.

QB

The big question mark going into spring ball was the quarterback play.

There's potenial at QB there but it's largely untapped and there isn't a lot of proven depth at the position.

The projected starter has a decent arm, and brings speed and quickness to the position but needs to prove himself a leader.

The depth at QB isn't bare, it's just unproven. The primary backup is a top dual threat prospect but needs a little time to get used to college life before he's a star.

Behind him is a kid who's making the switch over to quarterback from the defense. He's got a suprisingly accurate arm, is extremely smart, and he moves extremely well. He's no threat to take over the starting job, but he's a potentially dangerous option in a pinch.

Strength - Mobility

Weakness- Experiance

RB

Staring HB is gone but the new guy ran for more than 800 yards and scored 7 touchdowns last year.

Bringing more speed to the backfield is one of the team's top recruits out of Texas. A nice get for the Huskers, he should be a big part of the offense sooner than later and there are several other young potential contributors but at least one will have to emerge early in the season to take the pressure off the starter.

Strengh - Recieving Ability and versatility

Weakness - fumbles

WR/TE

The team needs a No. 1 receiver, and while their returning senior may not be that type of a target, he's a sound, reliable producer.

The other wideout has the ability to be a top target, but he needs to prove reliable and earn his starting spot and to show off his phenomenal deep speed.

Also the young Freshman WR was fantastic this spring showing off the best wheels in the receiving corpsThere was a question about whether or not he was going to redshirt, but he was too good this offseason to be kept on the sidelines. He'll be a third down target and will be used in three and four wide sets as a deep threat.

The tight ends should be the strength of the passing game. Led by a 6-3, 230-pound Junior all-around playmaker who can block well and has the hands to be used as a nice deep threat. He has shown just enough toughness as a blocker to be more than just a beefed up wide receiver.

Strength - Tight End

Weakness - Receivers who have lived up to the prep hype

OL

The right side needs to be replaced.

The big loss is the star guard. The new guy is versatile enough to play either guard or tackle, but he's been groomed to play right guard after spending last year as the main backup.

Starting center should be set but a backup center as well as a new starting Left Guard needs to emerge.

There are several options for all the positions to allow the coaching staff to tinker with the combination. There's talent up front, but it has to be molded.

Strengh - Versatility

Weakness - Pass Protection

Did you read it? Think it's for this year? It's not.

Why are there people responding in a thread started by imgonnasuhyou?

Because this is Huskerboard...most people here kinda suck at the internet and are very easily trolled and leveled. No offense everyone.

Well...at least it isn't MaxBash and you have to pay to have Christianity rammed down your throat and be chastised for saying something worse than 'dang'. But yeah, got ya.

I modified your list. Like it or not it's hard to argue with the remaining points.

the real legit concerns are (experienced) 1 QB, 1 RB and a defensive line that will be facing a week in week out pounding up front. for this to work Beck's offense is going to need to stay on the field and sustain some drives, gawd how long has it been since we have seen that? this is not going to be easy, unless the O line has improved...
