redblooded
18 is average. Its a curve, 1-36, scores being assigned based on what percentile you fall into. Quote Link to comment
Omaha-Husker
I am pretty sure you need a 20 to be an athlete at UNL. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Oh, okay. So it doesn't seem like his ACT and his GPA are really mismatched, does it? Quote Link to comment
C N Red
A 22 I would definitely consider an above average ACT score, and a 2.2 GPA I would definitely consider a below average GPA. So, to me they seem a little mismatched. Not saying it doesn't happen, just saying don't tend to see it that often. I would think if these are his actual numbers he should qualify, unless he has some classes that don't qualify as part of his hours. Then he would need to get the classes that do done and passed. BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
FYI here are the average ACT scores by state: http://www.act.org/newsroom/data/2011/states.html Quote Link to comment

He ended up at another D1 school. I don't know what the base is first hand, but that is my experience with the issue. Quote Link to comment

I believe there is some crazy equation thing you have to use and your core GPA and ACT somehow relate to how they decide if you qualify. I really don't know, just remember talking about it before with other recruits like Heard. Hopefully someone who knows will post and straighten us all out. Quote Link to comment
teachercd
Its a sliding scale. The higher your GPA is the lower the ACT score needed. 1 Quote Link to comment

Here is the NCAA Core GPA/ACT slider that they go by to be elligible by NCAA. UNL admission elligibility is an ACT of 18 (20 for College of Engineering). NCAA Elligibility Quote Link to comment
