A 22 I would definitely consider an above average ACT score, and a 2.2 GPA I would definitely consider a below average GPA. So, to me they seem a little mismatched. Not saying it doesn't happen, just saying don't tend to see it that often. I would think if these are his actual numbers he should qualify, unless he has some classes that don't qualify as part of his hours. Then he would need to get the classes that do done and passed.

I am pretty sure you need a 20 to be an athlete at UNL.

I would say that seems a little high. I would think more like a 18. I don't know, just thinking 20 seems pretty high.

I wont name names, but a guy from my high school had a UNL offer and it got yanked b/c he couldn't get a 20 on his ACT. He ended up at another D1 school.

I don't know what the base is first hand, but that is my experience with the issue.

If I remember correctly it also matters what your core GPA is too. I believe there is some crazy equation thing you have to use and your core GPA and ACT somehow relate to how they decide if you qualify. I really don't know, just remember talking about it before with other recruits like Heard. Hopefully someone who knows will post and straighten us all out.

Here is the NCAA Core GPA/ACT slider that they go by to be elligible by NCAA. UNL admission elligibility is an ACT of 18 (20 for College of Engineering).
