WoodyHayes1951
Yikes. So much promise to start the season. 6-0 start and now they are 6-4. Announcement is anticipated to come out tomorrow. Quote Link to comment
Excel
Shame, he's the best thing that's happened to them in a while. Oh well. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Not a huge surprise IMO. Quote Link to comment
Excel
Not a huge surprise IMO. I was surprised because all I could think about was that 07 Rose Bowl he got them to...but now that I look at it he's led them to some absolutely garbage seasons since. It makes sense I guess. HuskerCarter
Is this the same source that was told not to ask him about his status at Illinois and asked it anyway causing Zook to leave the press conference? Quote Link to comment
irafreak
Don't look now but Bo should be number 1 on their list to replace Zook! Quote Link to comment
WoodyHayes1951
Nothing yet. Surprised. Should come soon though. Quote Link to comment
Notre Dame Joe
He'd be a perfect fit for us. Bad records, occaisional bowls, cluesless 4th down decision making and still pulls in 5* recruits. Quote Link to comment
NUance
Firing Ron Zook is a stupid move by Illinois. They'll have a hard time getting anyone better. And I don't what their heartburn is over this year's 6-4 record is. Illinois has a long history of football mediocrity. Winning 60% of their games is actually a pretty good year for the Ilini, if you consider their history of crappy football teams. Quote Link to comment
HuskerCarter
Folks bought into the ESPN hype that Illinois could be the dark horse of the Big Ten and how Scheelhouse or whatever his name is was a possible candidate for the Heisman. Quote Link to comment
Excel
Zook storms out of Conf after being asked about Job Security I think a lot of this will hinge on his next game with the Badgers...but for those defending him and what not....I mean I was too until I looked at the records of those teams since the Rose Bowl. For some reason I forgot how absolutely awful they were. Even if you're just Illinois you should at least try for something better. Quote Link to comment
Stumpy1
I heard Bo is really interested in the job...Might as well start it now cause as soon as Zook is canned, we all will be hearing it. Quote Link to comment
Woody Tressel
Why would Bo leave Nebraska for Illinois? Quote Link to comment
VectorVictor
Why would Bo leave Nebraska for Illinois? Lowered expectations? Quote Link to comment
ladyhawke
Why would Bo leave Nebraska for Illinois? It's a joke. Everytime an opening comes up Bo is a finalist. It's gotten to the point where it is just ridiculous. Bo isn't leaving Nebraska. Good Grief people! Quote Link to comment
