NUance
Nebraska option, you appear to be running to the short side. Time after time after time... 1 Quote Link to comment

junior4949
Why do we constantly go here? There is absolutely zero way to ever answer the question. I'm sure every fan base see a different team as the best ever. Quote Link to comment

Sub-Husker
The 1971 Husker team was clearly the best team in 1971. Quote Link to comment
Comish
Most observers have, over time, given the nod to the '71 Huskers, including the Sporting News just this year. I am torn between '71 and '95, but '71 wins statistically. Just be glad we have 2 of the 4 or 5 teams always listed in this conversation. Says a lot about our longevity among the elites................. Quote Link to comment
macroboy
It also speaks to the need for patience and consistency. Devaney wins NC's in his last two years (years 9 and 10 I believe). TO wins 3 in 4 years but not until over 20 years into his tenure. There is no 71 or 95 team if we go the "fire the coaches" route every 4 years. Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
another awesome thread i guess if you don't like the here and now, you dwell in the past, makes no sense to me....whatever Quote Link to comment

Excel
1894 Nebraska against 1907 Hawkeyes...who wins? Quote Link to comment
Foppa
NU was the 3rd best team in Nebraska in 2007, but would've lost to the 2004 NU team by 6 pins, or 3 shuttlecocks. Quote Link to comment
AllTheGoodNamesAreTaken
what team/player are we gonna do next!?!? Quote Link to comment

Indeed it takes at least 10-20 years to become competitive and even make a run at the Title game. Just like Bama, LSU, OU, USC, Texas, tOSU, Miami, Oregon............ Quote Link to comment
