The Dude
Definitely a great fit in Houston. Man, Dennard! Teams are messing up. I can't wrap my head around this. Well, as far as NFL owners know, he's facing possible prison time. It becomes less of a monetary risk in the later rounds. prison time? lol. its 3rd degree and will be knocked down to misdemeanor. probation. He faces up to 5 years in prison if it doesn't get knocked down. Of course he'll likely get off easy because he played football at Nebraska, but that's still a significant risk to take. zoogs
Must be a lot more serious than I thought it was. Otherwise: Chris Greenwood. Cornerback. Albion. Unbelievable. Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
It's weird... Phillips did much worse (imo, but it wasn't to a cop) and got picked #5 overall. But he had a whole year to prove that he "changed" into a better person Whoever gets Dennard is very lucky Quote Link to comment
The Dude
Had Dennard's charges already been knocked down to misdemeanor, he likely would have went in the third round. The fact that everything is still up in the air is probably the biggest reason for his plummet. Quote Link to comment
NUance
What is the board consensus now. Does Fonzie even get picked up? I know others drafted have had issues with the law, but have any of the been charged with felony assault of a police officer? Six & one-half rounds gone. You'd think SOME team would take a flyer on Dennard, and pick him up this late. That's a lot of talent sitting there waiting for an opportunity. The felony assault charge is sure to get knocked down to a misdemeanor with probation. This debacle might actually help to keep Dennard on the straight-and-narrow from here on out. *Might.* Quote Link to comment

I know where you're coming from. But he's fallen so far in the draft now that I just feel sorry for the guy. Probly cost him a half a million or so. Quote Link to comment

HuskerFowler
wow is right, this is unbelievable. It looks like most teams just took him off of the boards and forgot about him. Tough lesson to learn, i bet hes been thru a few boxes of tissues today. Quote Link to comment
tschu
Fonzie got what he deserved. Maybe this will serve as a wake-up call for him Quote Link to comment
corncraze
I'm surprised the Lions haven't taken him. They could really use his help at corner. Quote Link to comment
BIG ERN
One expensive punch. That's what you get for having a little man's mentality; such a shame. Quote Link to comment
