husker B-rent
great move imo. our centers were very undersized. and no sirles was not going to start at tackle. good move for him, good move for the team. simple as that. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
He is a wee bit taller than a prototypical center. It would be nice to have a guy with size there for a change. We'll see how this pans out. Moving Arod and Qvale to tackle probably played into this. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
I think you want your tackles to be rangy and have wingspan. Interior line though, I know DTs benefit from being short and stout. I assume it's probably the same way for interior OL -- be strong, but not so tall that you're going to let people get under the pads all the time. That's a losing battle. Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
OK, this just can't be good......we have no one else physically able to play the position?......damn, i hate musical chairs, first Heard and now Sirles? Quote Link to comment
Husker_x
He's sure to be the CENTER of attention during camp. Â He who would pun would pick a pocket! Quote Link to comment
onlyHskrfaninIL
who do you have starting at the tackles then B Rent? Quote Link to comment

'SkersRule
who do you have starting at the tackles then B Rent? Â I think Tyler Moore, Brent Qvale, Jake Cotton, Mike Moody, and Zach Sterup will be duking it out for the two starting OT spots. Quote Link to comment

zoogs
OK, wait, I thought Cotton and A-Rod were still guards, so I'm behind. Who are our guards? Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
OK, wait, I thought Cotton and A-Rod were still guards, so I'm behind. Who are our guards? Â We're going with 4 tight ends Quote Link to comment
'SkersRule
Actually Cotton may be at OG... Â I remember last season he was seriously pushing for PT, then got hurt, and was out for the season... Â And the roster at huskers.com just lists Sam Cotton, and indeed all the OL as OL-not broken down by position. Â Quote Link to comment

A-Rod's the probable starter at RT. Thus the question of what's the best use of Sirles. Now that he's healthy he's likely one of our top five linemen, but is he a center? I guess we'll find out. Beck did say Pensick is still the leader. But they have to figure-out what our best combination of guys is, and sometimes you have shuffle guys around experiment to do that. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
My prediction: Â LT - Moore LG - Seoul Train C - Pensick -or- Sirles RG - Long RT - Rodriguez Quote Link to comment
da skers
I thought Price was working at center and Sirles was now the swing OT. Quote Link to comment
