What Did We Learn???

Recommended Posts

1. Speical teams continue to be an abomination

2. 3rd & 1 means here comes a playaction pass (aka, Beck needs to pull his head out of his ass)

3. That the "Go Big Red" chant was heard clearly in Evanston

4. Our defense may get Blackshirts this week

5. T-Mart stepped up big in the 4th qtr.. maybe a sign of things to come

As good as the defense played today. They had way too many opportunities for takeaways and did not capitalize on them. Needs to be addressed HARD before the Michigan game.

If we want a chance to beat them, we need the defense to step up and capitalize on those turnovers.

This can be used as a springboard. What a great moment today, facing adversity and storming back.

We dominated that team for four quarters and just couldn't get the scoreboard in order, not til the end. We are really lucky to pull out that result, but you know what? The far better team won today, and how encouraging was it to see our defense shut down the Wildcats? That one broken play excepted.

What did we learn?

In 2007 in games such as the Northwestern game today our team would have given up.

Last year in games such as the Northwestern game today our team would have given up.

What did we learn today?

Yes, while this team does shoot itself in the foot left & right...one thing that you cannot say about this team is that it gives up... because it doesn't. There is a lot of talent on this team, but there is also a lot of heart. A win is a win is a win....good job Huskers! GO BIG RED!
