True2tRA
Brian Christopherson @HuskerExtraBC 12m Jamal Turner didn't always catch punts well. He thinks he does now. "I want it bad," he says of return job. http://bit.ly/1eKBBTG #Huskers I want JT to get that spot. The more touches that dude gets, the better.....PERIOD. He is one of the most natural athletes we've had in this program. Quote Link to comment
Chaddyboxer
Good god. Did what happened really just happen? +1 here^. -1 for Devnet. Actually, it's about par for Devnet, unfortunately. Dude, medical info is NOT to be shared. Period. Shut it.......... He didn't give any relative objective data...... It's a visual observation, nothing more nothing less. Anyone can make this observation...."but the word was that he doesn't have the frame to support 230+". He doesn't discuss his vitals, height, weight, any possible co-morbiditys, disabilities, etc. There is nothing objective about that, its merely an observation. Knock it off.....now. I am in the healthcare field fella, a physical therapist assistant, Lic. No. 1160. Chad Nelson. All your doing is trolling....really? Got anything else better do? Quote Link to comment

He is one of the most natural athletes we've had in this program. He would be electric back there. Possibly have enough depth at WR to risk a home run on every punt return. Back to switching positions, BO has done this with great success him self ie Super D in 2003, Haag and Cody Glenn to name, but 3. I think he realizes speed (can't be taught) and athleticism (can't be taugh) count for tons. IMO, one of the best CB's to play the game was Deion Sanders. Dude was a lock down freak, BUT his "technical" skills sucked. He was phenomenal (IMO) because of his speed and athleticism. Quote Link to comment

True2tRA
Devnet is right. I reported the entire coaching staff, that includes Bo Pelini. Then I reported the Nebraska media, both OWH and LJS last year when they made it worldwide news that some players had been injured in practice. Especially Fisher's broken leg! You don't disclose medical information....PERIOD. Quote Link to comment

EZ-E
Gerry could easily bulk up to 235-245 to play a 4-3 linebacker at the next level. The guy is like 4% body fat, which is lower than most linebackers. He would still be plenty fast as well. As far as whether or not his joints/tendons/ligaments could handle that weight, I have no idea. EZ-E, do you know exactly what your buddy would look for to make those assessments? I think it's pretty interesting. Couldn't tell you at all. Just that they take them through a ton of physical examinations to make sure they aren't hiding anything injury-wise and such. If you think about it, we are about to pay them 100k over 4-5 years. Need to be sure we get some ROI Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Anybody see Gerry following a similar path as Urlacher? I'd give you John Lynch not Urlacher. Gerry I don't think has the frame to add the weight required to play MLB. does he need to be in the 250 range to play mlb in the NFL? My comparison question has more to do with the switch from college safety to NFL linebacker. I could be wrong but I'd imagine a lot of them are in that 240-250 range. Pretty much ILBs Pro Bowl selections last year: Mayo-250, D. Johnson-242, D. Washington-238, L. Fletcher-242, P. Willis-240, N. Bowman-242 Quote Link to comment

Make fun of me all you want...tell me I'm wrong...whatever. Saying that a guys knees have been checked out by any type of medical professional and found to be inferior or not and releasing that information without his permission is purely wrong.
