Think this means Rex made the team unless I'm missing something.

That link isn't telling me anything but they have only cut their roster to 75 right now. They don't have to make the final 53 man roster cuts until after the final pre season game.

There we go. Sorry long day for me. For some reason I thought these were the final cuts.

I retract my stupid.

And he's played what 3 or 4 months? It's not like they're wasting the whole 2 mil

The contracts don't officially start until the season starts. The only thing Rex has gotten paid is his signing bonus (someone said $100k or so), plus minimal "per diem" and "preseason game checks" which would be a few hundred bucks.

I wonder if Bush made more money in college than in the NFL.

I was wondering how the SEC players adjust to the cut in pay before the regular season starts. :dunno

I wish the Lions would have drafted Rex. I thing Reggie Bush is going to be a bust.

Are you serious? Reggie bush has been tearing it up in training camp and did decent in the first preseason game. Also, he will help out with the Lion's passing attack and will have a lot of open space to work with. Burkhead isn't that fast and wouldn't be that great of a pass catching rb.

Very serious. Bush has done nothing in the preseason carrying the ball (11 rushing attempts for 20 yards). His career is nothing special: 6 years in the league, one season with over 1000 yards rushing, never more than 6 TDs rushing in a single season. I just don't think he has the mental toughness or desire to be a premier NFL back. I think Rex has the mental toughness and desire to be an above average NFL back. Rex doesn't have the top end speed, but his quickness in the first 10 yards is fantastic.

Bump.

Bush with 166 total yards and a TD so far today. Still mid 3rd quarter.

90 yards rushing and 101 yards receiving. Bush WILL have an amazing year because he fits this system perfectly.

Yes I believe this also and am a big Detroit fan....but why are we talking about Bush in this thread? :dunno

I think someone mentioned that the lions would be better off getting burkhead since they have no running back...something to that effect.

Ahh got ya

I am happily eating crow today, because I am a lions fan. I didn't get to watch the game because I am in India, but I heard some Detroit audio saying Bush was open underneath because Minnesota feared Calvin Johnson deep. This sounds like a combination that will work.

bump, bush already has over 100 yards rushing in the first half against the bears. I told you this was going to be an amazing acquisition for the lions that could lift them over the hump, too bad Burleson Is hurt though.

I have to give you props for a great prediction. Bush is having a great day. Suh is also having a great day. 3 picks for the lions D. Suh has been all over Cutler and has him rattled. Suh also forced a fumble that was returned for a TD.
