• July 21, 2013: Junior cornerback Bradley Roby was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery and spent the night in the Monroe (Ind.) County jail after an alleged altercation in Bloomington. He was at the Dunnkirk Bar near downtown when the incident occurred. According to the Bloomington police report, Roby had “attempted to start a fight with another patron. He was removed from the bar by the bar staff.” As of July 25, no punishment has been announced.

• July 20, 2013: Freshman defensive lineman Tim Gardner was arrested and charged by Columbus police with obstruction of official business this past weekend. He attempted to flee police after first being stopped on a street corner near campus on Saturday night on suspicion of public intoxication. He was suspended for the entire 2013 season.

• July 14, 2013: Freshman tight end Marcus Baugh was arrested and charged with underage drinking and possessing a false I.D. He was suspended for the season opener, against Buffalo, and will not receive any financial aid during the summer.

• July 28, 2012: Freshman running back Bri'onte Dunn was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop in Alliance, Ohio. Charges were dropped, despite testimony of his passenger who claimed that the two had been smoking marijuana in his car. Dunn’s mother took the rap for him and testified that the marijuana was in the car before she loaned it to Dunn, but was unaware of how it got there. Dunn was subsequently reinstated to the team.

• July 7, 2012: Sophomore linebacker Storm Klein was arrested and charged with domestic violence and assault. Klein was arrested after an argument between himself and the mother of his child. Klein was accused of throwing the complainant through a door and causing injuries to her arms. He was immediately dismissed from the team. On August 22 he pleaded to a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge. Additionally, the domestic violence charge against him was dismissed. On August 23, he was reinstated to the team. He did serve a two-game suspension at the beginning of the season.

• June 2, 2012: Senior tight end Jake Stoneburner and Junior offensive tackle Jack Mewhort were arrested on Saturday and were charged with obstructing official business, a misdemeanor. Police spotted Stoneburner, Mewhort and another man, who had no connection with the football team, urinating on the side of a restaurant near Stoneburner’s house. They were suspended from “all football team activities,” and had their athletic scholarships revoked for the summer term. They were reinstated on the team Aug 7, 2012 and did not miss any games.

• Jan 8, 2012: Freshman defensive back DerJuan Gambrell was arrested and charged with misdemeanor charges of assault, menacing, and unlawful restraint after campus police responded to an incident at an on-campus dormitory. • November 28, 2011: Urban Meyer is hired.

St Tressel and Urban Meyer have left John Cooper in the dust. Coop was on the job 2 full years before his first player got arrested

All I see are misdemeanors and dismissed charges. Let's look at Michigan:

Frank Clark - Felony 2nd degree Home invasion. Suspended one game

Fitzgerald Touissant - DUI. Suspended one game

Darryl Stonum - Violating probation. Kicked off team

Will Campbell - Felony vandalism and misdemeanor destruction of property. No punishment

Josh Furman - one misdemeanor count each of domestic violence, assault and battery and illegal entry. Found not guilty beyond reasonable doubt.

Marvin Robinson - 2nd degree home invasion. Unknown on punishment

This is of course not counting Brendan Gibbons rape or Taylor Lewan's intimidation of a female as the woman is not wanting to press charges right now.
