In many ways I blame the offense more than the defense. Totally inept in the second half.

We've cut down on how much we run the zone read and unsurprisingly, we have lost a lot of our big play ability and Taylor isn't getting very many rushing yards because... You guessed it, most of his runs are on zone reads.

Yep. Kid is a crease runner. This season, for whatever reason, the zone read has been completely abandoned.

executing is not in our vocab and our coaching as a whole is horrible like normal. We start off so great but then just implode. Play calling, execution and horrible tackling is Nebraska football now a days. Doesn't even resemeble Osborne football at all.

 

I can sit here ranting about Bo but what good does it do as he will continue to be the head coach for years to come I bet. We just have to accept beating the weak teams and getting trucked by the good teams. We might as well just put 600+ yards given up on our D stats before the game even starts. PATHETIC!!!!

 

The standard season for us will always be beating the weak teams, sh#$!*ng the bed against good teams, and occasionally falling ass-backwards into a conference championship where we get stomped in front of the nation

I'm not sure why we decided that having Martinez wander aimlessly around the backfield before falling down was a better strategy than making a commitment to running the ball. Why not load up and use our stable of talented backs on these guys?

He needs to say "I did a sh^^y job" Hired my buds and screwed the program. I should have pulled a Dabo and spent 2.3 million on guys who can coach. I apologize to the fans and the players for making Coz looked like a guru.
